Mentioned earlier on some thread Oliver and some other guy at about the same time just thought of the guy who tried to get Coleman in trouble longer than a few days but was a first year player who was from Nashville maybe it was bruce

Heck, remember the RB EE a few years ago that came in from Louisiana and ran home to momma after a few days of practice? I think they were hitting him too hard in practice?

Doesnt look like It will let me link you directly there, but the search function has worked for me.

https://www.knoxcounty.org/criminalcourt/online_tools/docket_search.php

The case comes up on Feb. 26.

I'm not sure how accurate the site is because it says both are revocations, but nonexistent charges would be a huge blunder for the Chattanooga docket management site that I use daily.

Thank you sir. :hi:

I searched under Johnson as his last name and didn't even put in a first name and it still said no records. I tried several date ranges and still nothing. Finally just chose the date you said and scrolled to find it.

Sounds like this was his second offense. Strange we didn't hear about the first one. Maybe it was out of state before he arrived? Who knows but he's definitely not getting the benefit of doubt here.

Lol just extremely concerned with publicity and DT depth. Gotta move some guys around now. Maybe cheek jumps ship. I hope so.

Agree--- I said earlier that this will be an interesting weekend/challenge for Butch coming up with all the highly touted recruits and their parents visiting... you know this will be a topic of conversation with parents and Butch needs to have this under control and a script to ease any parental concerns... could actually be why he went ahead and dismissed Alex to reference zero tolerance with the parents.... AND kids.

The reason CBJ could get by with a zero tolerance policy for these types of situations is because being a player on the football team at the University of Tennessee is a privilege. You do anything that brings a hint of negative light on this team, coaches, teammates and university, you have lost that privilege.

I don't think we are that far apart in our views here. But this doesn't sound like you want to see due process but maybe I'm reading it wrong....

Yeah, getting a written contract for sex is something a feminist would want to see required. It's not realistic and requiring it would mean anyone who doesn't have a contract is subject to rape charges. It's just stupid to even suggest such a thing IMO.

Not to mention it could be revoked anytime. Right before the actual act and the contract would be worthless.

I'm not sure you get the feminist culture. A feminist would be offended that she couldn't be trusted to verbally consent to sex. Anything that puts a man and woman on a different standing is counter to feminist culture.

Also, I never ever said it should be required. I simply suggested it would be a dang good idea.

And no doubt consent can be removed at any time. However, it adds an extra layer of protection against any allegations that may occur later.

I'm not the first one to suggest the notion of consent texts.

Wth is wrong with Removing the kid from the team with an indefinite suspension and bringing him back if things work out and if they don't dismiss him permanently after all the facts are evident?

We live in a guilty until proven innocent era. I'm not saying Alexis is innocent because he probably isn't from the early report. I'm saying in general everyone wants to go to max extreme first then apologize later. I think what Butch has always down is what each coach should. Immeditaltey suspend and remove from activity. Wait for it to play out then make final decision

Yessss! Sissy-boy. wonder where he ended up?

After some research looks like he went JUCO to Pear in MS for till '14. Then there was some chatter that he was going to Northwestern Oklahoma State, a D2 school. I checked the roster and he wasn't on it. My guess is he quit.

Fire Hart, hire a qualified female AD. Institute a sexual assault training program. Have women's groups come in once a semester for seminars with student-athletes (mandatory).

Institute a one strike and your out policy for sexual assault cases.

Educate student athletes that they are targets and have to make good decisions.

Not sure what else can be done

The woman AD worked out great for Rutgers.... :/

Consent text my ass. I'd want multiple signed copies with a notary present.

I disagree with pretty much all of this. But that's ok. We can disagree.

Has it been confirmed that he has been dismissed or is GFW just speculating that based on him only been here a short time and already in trouble previously on top of these allegations? I'm sure Butch is following proper procedure as we sure can't afford yet another lawsuit by going about this wrong.

I have a 1.5 year old daughter. Don't want her to grow up.

Cherish her!

What previous problems are you talking about?

GFW, Eazy TD, other insiders to the team- I know Butch has a plan and then some- so my question is with DT depth or lack thereof now, what are they going to do especially with the news that Tuttles injury isn't progressing as quickly as we might have thought/ hoped. Can you calm any of us down with some good news or insight. GFW said not a key player- he knows what is going on with the team. I am trying to cling to any positivity right now with this past week.

I'm not an insider, but I'll take a crack at this.

First of all, the bit on Tuttle's injury is conjecture, not news. This staff keeps injuries close to the vest so we don't have an actual timetable for him, but it's way too early to get concerned here - he has more than a half-year to heal and rehab.

Second, if Johnson is gone then we're still not in a bad situation. McKenzie and Tuttle are very good starters. Vickers and O'Brien are a very good second string. Picou has talent; just needs to keeping adding good weight. That's a top five that almost all teams would trade for in an instant.

We also have several bigger DE's who can play inside some, either on a situational basis or in case of injury. Barnett has played inside. Kongbo may actually end up inside anyway, depending on how he takes to our nutrition and conditioning programs. Mixon has played inside before. Phillips has the frame to play there some, though he seems unhappy with the idea.

We have options, and we're not in panic mode if Johnson is booted. It DOES, however, put more pressure on us to have an elite haul at DT in this cycle. But we're gonna be alright.

Nothing public but GFW tends to know what's about to happen. He knew this was coming early yesterday so I'm sure police called Butch and told him they were likely to arrest Alexis at some point that day. They are probably keeping Butch pretty up to date on realistic expectations

I think Cheek is going to be non-renewed (or whatever the term is) when his contract expires June 30th. I think that is one guy that pretty much nobody will be sad about losing.

However, I would bet dollars to doughnuts that UT replaces him with someone worse.

I didn't listen to the show today but Basilio apparently alluded to a possible replacement. If it's who I think it is, it would make perfect sense for this University and not in a good way.
