Bama's sophomore Daron Payne at DT has outplayed our two sophomores and he's not more physically talented. His hand play is much better now though. He was a very raw prospect coming out and was lazy at times in HS. I watched Allen and crew use 3-4 releases while being engaged. Our guys don't outside of Barnett. Guess I shouldn't expect our guys to be developed by these defensive coaches anymore.

Legit 4-5 star guys talent is overvalued by me I should expect them to play like 3 star level guys year after year. Yeah that's right..... 😎😎😎😎😎

I'm already depressed/aggravated/annoyed from today. I have been trying to get my laptop to work for the past 3 hours.....this is getting highly ridiculous. And I can't do any of my work until it works. I am starting to hate technology more and more now-a-days.

That's good. If we can get Sutton and Kamara back the injury list improves from "laughably horrific" to just merely "awful"

Hurd was not one of the more popular players. Resentment had been festering since camp. CBJ let some players decide when they needed to wear a green jersey or skip practice, which created friction. And Kamara and Kelly are both very well-liked by their teammates and formed a close bond that excluded Hurd.

I don't doubt that Hurd got some "Bye Felicia" responses when he told a group of teammates that he was going to leave the program. All I know is the team did not vote to boot him in a meeting Sunday night. Hurd's gone, and Kelly is getting the PT he deserves. Not a bad deal for UT.

But Hurd may not have wanted to leave with 4 games left, but he was called out on it. He refused to play, and he was hurting his team. His teammates called him out, both on and off the field. Maybe they didn't "vote" him off the team, but their displeasure forced him to act sooner. He quit on his team regardless, but it was only if he was just going to ride it out or not. Again, the timing does not seem coincidental to me. You can call it one thing, but a spade is a spade.

Butch says Vols' quality-control review of injuries focus on "preventable" ones like soft-tissue ones. Can't control "football" injuries.
