Could the East be the worst coached division out of the Power 5?

Mushcamp, Smart, Mcelwain, Mason, Shoop, Odom, and the best HC being Jones.

"Best being Jones" lol. Muschamp is better than Butch, but none of them even warrant being called the best in the East. They're all pretty bad.

I think Muschamp has always been a elite recruiter and a better Xs&Os coach on defense than Butch is on offense. His issue has always been micromanagement of offense, but it looks like he's improved on that this year.

Depending on how they finish out this season it's possible that what he did this year is more impressive than any season Butch had

And just to make sure I am getting this straight, you are wanting a HC that has only proven to be a fired loser vs a HC that has only proven to be a winner and moved on to better jobs at every stop he has been at?

Who did UT try to hire first? Muschamp. He passed because he was HC in waiting at Texas. UF's offer was enough for him to leave them. He beat UT each time at two different schools. What he hasn't proven is the ability to win the east division. Neither has Butch.

I would take Muschamp over Butch now, not back when the hire was first made. But I like HC's that have been through the wringer a bit, they seem to weather storms better and don't oversell themselves. Muschamp is a much different guy at USCe than he was at UF. Been watching the way he has been handling himself during games and with the media. He has matured a great deal.
