For some reason I thought that we had 2 TEs committed in the 2017 class until Rodgers decommitted yesterday. I looked at the 2017 commitment list and it only shows Rodgers. Is there another TE committed and not on the list? Or have we just offered another?

Edit: I found the name. James Brown from FL.

I like natural hitters on the back line but we'll see. Warrior shows me a guy that loves contact.

I like Warrior better there too.

The point I was making though is that we have enough guys with the skills at safety to leave JJ on offense (IMO) but with Byrd that's not the case. We need him a lot more at CB than WR IMO.

We don't use the WRs enough. Put playmakers like JJ and Byrd where they can flourish and make an bigger impact on the game and maximize their potential for the NFL.

To me that is on defense. If we have the depth, we will need it through out the course of a full season. Scheme the defense style to fit our players.

Where was Warrior in the Ky game? We were getting gashed in the secondary and poor tackling.

Josh Smith returning punts but not Callawy after his game last week?

I just rewatched it and we had him in the box taking on TEs. That's where Kelly Jr. should've been to free Warrior up. I don't understand this madness.

We have one experienced true DT healthy. Picou is alright but yesterday was his first time in the rotation for a significant game. Shoop played bend but don't break and did a masterful job. I think that was his plan all day

And in reality, Vickers isn't a true DT. If you remember, he was only about 235-240 when we signed him (I think as a DE). He added the weight to play DT, because he saw that he would never get any significant snaps at DE with the depth we had there. Team move by him and much needed now.

Yes, but that includes a gimpy Sutton, a gimpy Kirkland, and starting our #4 DT and # 7th ish DT?

Very true.

I just think there's a bit more to the defensive under-performance than injuries this year. UK's performance was mostly due to a couple blown assignments that led to huge chunk yardage plays.

I think we have enough talent to perform better than we have. Not spectacularly, but better.

Sup.

After the SC game I forced myself to not even come here. Not even to lurk. Didnt wanna see the meltdown nor be tempted to comment myself. Needed some time away. Get my inner volssambone calmed down. I doubt others did the same. I bet the meltdown was something to behold.

I came back on after our win/FL's loss and started lurking sat evening.

Ha-ha. I took 2 weeks.

On any given Saturday, anything can happen. This past Saturday proved that.

I would agree with that. We have had some pretty colossal breakdowns that the coaching staff keeps calling misalignments.
