Byrd needs to be moved he can spell in on offense. Jennings should've been moved after last year if that's the case.

Now not playing Warrior is flat out laughable. Don't know why it's so hard to put your most physical DB out there and let him ball versus a team that runs the football.

Warrior should definitely be playing at this point. I really think since Byrd is still just a freshman, he can be used both ways if needed.... Look at Adoree Jackson- he could be used in the same way.

That's what surprised me the most, and concerns me the most about our D. With our lack of DT depth, I figured we would see more big plays because Kentuckys o-line was able to get to the second level. Our LBs have played enough and should be better than that. I was especially disappointed in DK and TK.

If we make it to Atlanta then Bama might run for 600 on us

I was disappointed in the LB rotation. Kirkland shouldn't leave the field. He was on the sidelines a lot yesterday.

McElwain said in his post-game presser the Gators had 3 TOs and "you don't win many games with 3 TOs." Got a good laugh at that. We've been winning all year averaging 3 TOs a game. Shoot, we almost beat UK by 27 points with 3 TOs and we went to 2OT with aTm with 7 TOs. Vols have to be #1 at winning with TOs.

We also had at least 2 vs uga and UF

UK not a good matchup for a S that has a tendency to be out of position. With that said, LB and S run fits were terrible yesterday. I doubt he would have done worse in that area.

When has he been out of position against the run? He blew a coverage that's it. Otherwise the kid has been flashing game changing talent at safety. We haven't had a guy flying up like that since Jackson and Berry(Eric).

I must be the only one who wasn't surprised by U.K. running all over us. I saw that coming a mile away with our injuries and lack of depth. We should be crediting the team for bowing up and keeping them (mostly) out of the end zone during the middle part of the game. I knew that game was going to be ugly. It was a terrible match up.

I think Bama will gut us in the SECCG too. Key there in my mind will be to slow them down as much as we can and run a bunch of offensive formations and trick plays that they've never seen. If we win it will be a 45-42 type shootout. If we lose it will be a 55-10 bludgeoning. Our injuries are just too numerous.

I will be there regardless.

Looks like Butch trying to get some more EE's in for this class. DeAndre Johnson and Shanon Reid both EEs and looking like both will commit to UT soon.

Any of our other targets/commits planning on being EE's?

We're also gonna need Byrd at corner next year more than we're gonna need JJ at safety, IMO.

Think we need both on defense. Our WR group should be better next year with Callaway, Johnson, and an improved Josh Malone.

Offense will be more run oriented next year with Kelly and CFA with breaking in a new QB.

We need the help on defense.

What you guys are missing is the JJ is a dog... and we desperately need dogs at the WR position because he is the only one that I see actually fighting for the ball

I'm not sure what you guys are seeing but we need Byrd as badly at WR as we do at corner if not more.

We don't really use him on offense though. Why keep him at WR to get 3 touches a game?

Put him on defense and he'll have way more opportunities to impact the game.

Wonder what Sal could do with this current defense.

I bet, he couldn't even get 11 on the field. Probably say, "no DT's? Alright, just play with out 'em"

Honestly I think we should leave Jennings on offense. He's a leader there and between Warrior, Abernathy, and Griffin I think we've got the talent at safety.

We need Byrd at CB though.

I get that defensive injuries have been bad this year, but I still feel like there can't be that much of a difference between the talent Shoop's had to work with and some of this Vandy defenses he had play so far above their talent level.

Until this year, he'd always had a top 25 defense. Now we're closer to 100. Injuries and it being the first year in the system definitely should account for some drop off, but just how bad we've been makes me think there's something more to it.

Personally, I think the fact that he wasn't able to bring any of his own guys with him has something to do with it. I think he may need a couple of his own guys on his staff.

57th in scoring defense....could be worse with the injuries, but I hear what you're saying.

JRM would make such a huge difference though.

As for offensive changes, I'm not so sure we'll see so much. Maybe a new OL coach or QB coach.

But the defensive staff obviously needs more help than the offense right now
