Then why would you have an opinion on what it means?

It's awesome is what it means. I know some of you don't like soccer but don't be a jerk about it. I became a fan back in 2003 when I went to London. Arsenal and Chelsea played a huge game the first night I arrived. There were 20,000+ chanting outside my hotel room in Kensington. It was amazing. I watched the game at a pub and was blown away by the passion.

Only thing that compares is college football. Many euro soccer fans enjoy college football for the same reason. Passion, pageantry, chants, colors, tailgating. It's all the best of sports. You can have an opinion but try to eliminate the arrogance and smugness.

Lighten up, Francis.

It was meant to be tounge and cheek, for the most part...

You went to London and watched a game or two. I'm sure it was awesome.

I went to high school for 3 years in The Netherlands in the mid 90's, during one of the glory runs for Ajax. Overmaars, the de Boer twins, Davids, Seedorf, Kluivert, Van de Saar...

I celebrated with another Orange Nation in Dam Square after Bergkamp led Nederland to victory over Argentina in 1998...

Believe me, I'm well versed in European Futbol. Just curious as to why I keep seeing it pop up in our FOOTBALL thread.

I have no idea what any of this means. No self respecting, red blooded American should.

Lol, I was seriously about to post the exact opposite of this. I don't care what sport anyone likes or doesn't like, rooting for the American team in anything is one of the most American things to do.

I'm not a huge soccer fan (love playing it), but USA soccer=USA Olympians.

I need to lighten up? Ok.

Why on earth was this bumped. Mecole played the game and was committed to Georgia the entire cycle nearly.

Edit: read some of the article maybe he really was as indecisive as he let on. Also, how could he not see himself playing at Tennessee? Because he wanted to play D and we wanted him at WR?

Ok, maybe it was BB and not HG. You guys fight so much about defensive backs that I'm getting crossed up.

Anyway, Muschamp and Saban are maniacs with backs.

Muschamp is a really good DBC. Has a good eye for talent. He was on QWilson and Keanu Neal before anyone. Just feel Saban and Redmond are tops in game.

Really excited to see what TGray does with these pitbulls at UF.

He was on Cam Sutton as well. His DBs are more my style than the Bama DBs. LSU DBs have no argument from me though. Always top notch talent wise. But my Vols will have that NO FLY ZONE title soon with how we are loading up on the back end. And with Shoop running the show. 😁

Not relevant to the current discussion but I was curious where you see Gaulden on the field in the fall. It doesn't look like Foreman is going anywhere from his nickel spot anytime soon, and Gaulden has been getting first team safety looks with Berry out. He's not the athlete Berry is (probably no one on the team is) but I could see him starting opposite TKjr with his nose for the ball.
