I'm not going to believe in CBJ's killer instinct until I see him march across the field between plays, rip out the opposing coach's goozle, take a bite out of it, and then chuck the remainder of the bloody mass into the crowd... AT AN AWAY GAME.
Anybody could do that s%#& at Neyland...
I actually thought he made a great correction against UF. He was very aggressive on offense and especially situationally. The QB pass, the jump pass on 4th down, the late TD in the 4th. I had no problem with the offensive aggressiveness in the UF game.
Yikes. That's another guy I thought would be a 4.6-ish time.
Somewhat related comment though: this dude was legitimately our best WR for most of last season. He led our team in receiving yards and tied with Kamara for most receiving TDs.
Maybe this gives us some insight into our struggles throwing the ball. Our best athletes at WR were some combination of the terms 'freshman' and 'injured'. The best of the rest just ran a 4.8 40. No wonder we couldn't get any separation from good DBs.
Malone is clearly the question with no answer here. Don't know what is/was wrong with him. But we need more from him than 3-5 good plays a game, and athletically he has the ability to give it to us.
@wesrucker247: Former #Vols WR Pig Howard measured in at 5-foot-7.1 and unofficially ran 4.55 and 4.51 in 40 and had a 32.5 vertical at todays Pro Day.
I kept telling y'all last year. Dobbs wasn't problem. It was the receivers.
Hopefully with Preston's emergence and guys like Vincent Perry and Marquez Callaway breaking out, we can get some better play from our receiving corp.
