I watched the Ohio State Bama game two years ago in a den full of Bama fans (brother-in-law's friends and family). I learned Bama has won many more titles than even the ones they claim. They explained that they basically won every title in the 60s but were screwed out of them because George Wallace was so controversial.

I just told them they've still got a long way to go before they catch Princeton and Yale in claimed national titles.

Only time in my life I pulled for Ohio State and Urban Meyer.

In 1964 the AP and UPI named them NC's. Those were the 2 prevailing polls at the time. That was before they changed the crowning until after bowl games and they went undefeated in the regular season and crowned. I don't know how that can be debated. It's no different than UT losing the 1952 Sugar Bowl but being crowned 1951 NC's.

In 1978 they had 1 loss and beat the #1 team in the country for their bowl win. Maybe it wasn't unanimous but few were back then.

They count the 1965 championship even though they were 4th entering the bowl games. If you say 1964 wasn't controversial then 1965 definitely was.

In 1978 USC beat them head to head and finished with the same record as them. USC finished first in the coaches' poll.

You could make a case for a lot of Bryant's titles but there's definitely more than 1 they claim in his era that's controversial. Some of it is just the nature of the pre-BCS poll wackiness but they're definitely cherry picking to make the # higher.

DI Council adopts academic integrity proposal | NCAA.org - The Official Site of the NCAA
"The Council approved a proposal applicable to the Football Bowl Subdivision that would require those schools to conduct camps and clinics at their school’s facilities or at facilities regularly used for practice or competition. Additionally, FBS coaches and noncoaching staff members with responsibilities specific to football may be employed only at their school’s camps or clinics. This rule change is effective immediately

Satellite camps and Deflategate were the worst offseason "water cooler" topics of all time. Hopefully that's the last we'll hear about it.

Butch moved from assaulting Bowles to Crowder to Azzani and now to Strip.

Take note Anita. Butch is all harbouring a culture of violence towards men, too.

Butch is an equal opportunity butt whooper! You step outta line and Butch'll put you on your rump. Watch yourselves.

Those of you who said Hart deserves no blame for Tyndall:

Astonishing is the word that comes to mind as I pour over the NCAA's Tyndall report. From what went on to Tennessee actually hiring him.

Still doesn't mean that Hart knew anything about it. Hart hired a good basketball coach.
