Cowboys fan here. Would have liked to see them take Ramsey and then if RB really coveted maybe a Derrick Henry in second. I understand the pick even if I wouldn't have done it as you can see it as a way to help the defense by going back to what worked in 2014 with Murray. Don't like spending that much on a RB which has such a short shelf life though.

Romo window. I liked the pick. The don't take a RB narrative is way overplayed. With the Cowboys Oline he's going to feast.

They already have a jack of all trades DB in Byron Jones, so Ramsey didn't make a lot of sense. He's a better safety than corner.

Hopefully Paxton Lynch is the real deal. :crossfingers:

John Elway has that Jerry West touch. Looks like he misplayed his hand and he still ends up shining I predict a year of weathering Sanchez while they prepare Lynch. He ends up far better than Osweiler IMO.

I saw that garbage....they even had the nerve to put Mizzou and UF in front of us. Lmao.

The rankings are post spring and use injuries*as a factor.
Discount UF front 7 all you like. Brantley and Davis will be projected 1st round picks. Cox will go 2-4 round and Ivie will be a mid round guy. Talent is there. Back ups like CeCe, K Clark, Thomas Holley and Jordan Sherit were all top 150 kids coming out.

I was angry to see Bama ahead of us... Couldn't believe it as I kept scrolling

Have you looked at what Bama returns?

Tim Williams is unlockable. Guy had 25 tackles and 11 were sacks. Dslvin Tomlinson is getting early 1st round mocks. Allen was a borderline first rounder this draft. Not sure why he decided to return.

Bama still loaded. Have questions about Ole Miss and Mizzou ranking.

ESPN ranks Vols front 7 defense 6th in SEC

:eek:lol:

Maybe a misleading article, it states that when the injured become healthy this will be a much better unit come fall. I believe this ranking reflected what was available for the spring, if so pretty accurate. If this is not the case someone needs to watch some film. JMO

I think "expecting" is a little strong. I expect them to compete for one and to be competitive in every game. I expect GA, SCAR, FL, Bama, and TAMU to play well against us. There is a lot of talent in the league. Enough that a bounce here or there can make a big difference. Let's win a couple of division championships before we start "expecting" them.

This is right. UT fans should expect for the team to compete in every game and win 9+. With the right breaks (limited injuries, a call or two the Vols' way, a fortunate play or two), UT could be in the playoffs. UT could also go 9-3 without the right breaks or worse if the breaks go against us.

Come on HG, don't go D4H on us. This post smells a little homer-ish to me. Curious - where would you put Florida's, and then UT's front 7 on the list?

Given what the NCAA is doing right now with UNC, I will never underestimate how ridiculously they can over or under react. Granted, Ole Miss football is not the regal program that UNC basketball is, but still, there is just never any way to predict what the NCAA will do. Look at the evidence they had against Auburn with Cam, and nothing. Nada.

Please forgive me and permit me to temporarily channel my inner catbone and bruin....

Would/should we be concerned that we beat out ole miss at the last minute for high profile recruits like Kongbo and Richmond?
