If we go two years without a draft pick it really does show how bad our roster was compared to the rest of conference. It's already starting to look like what we accomplished last year was a helluva lot better than most give us credit for.

According to a lot of people who follow football. The Vols had the talent to win the SECE last year. They underachieved, dropping at least two games they should have won-- games that would have put them in the SECCG.

Absolutely, UGA has underachieved with more talented players, and no doubt, Dooley drove this program into unprecedented suckage, but that doesn't change the basic premise: UT winning the SECE was not an unrealistic goal last year and it should be the base expectation this year. There are still some who suffer from BVS who think 9-3, with losses to UF, UGA and Bama, is an acceptable ceiling this year. I don't share those low expectations and, thankfully, neither do the coaches and players.

Possibly. But they were still picked to finish 2nd in the East (which they did). And they were rated the #25 team in the country in preseason polls. They finished #22 in the AP poll and #23 in the coaches.

UT did not underachieve in 2015. They hit the consensus expectations.

The only eexpectations they underachieved are from crazies like me who had them going 10-2 and winning the East.

The idea the Vols underachieved the consensus expectations in 2015 is FALSE. They hit or exceeded preseason expectations by the media.

Raiders are going to be force! Love every move they've made this offseason, including the draft.

Cowboys have had the best draft. Elliott will be a beast. And if Jaylon Smith gets healthy, they could come out of this draft with the 2 best players.

Jags also killed it with Ramsey and Jack.

Raiders solid.

Those are the 3 best drafts imo.

We may have chocked two games but we definitely didn't underachieve. This was a team powered by underclassmen.

Huge "if" with Smith. Has nerve damage that has caused foot drop. Hope he comes back full strength but that's a bad injury

Maggitt too much of a injury liability, Williams too much of an unknown, North no experience or tape and injury liability, only head scratcher is actually Randolph... most or all will be asked to come in and tryout but none will actually be drafted....

Yes, and the Vols would have had 3 drafted-- except those 3 chose to come back for their senior season. And the Vols will have several more picked up as UDFAs.
