Trust me homeboy, I don't have any agenda or anything against pig. But it just shows your Tennessee bias when you say pig is as talented as all the wr in the nfl. I'll be happy to say my opinion was wrong when we see him play on sunday.

Edelman is how high on your list of Top NFL WRs again?

Some lady cursing up a storm during the San Antonio vs Oklahoma City game. She must be sitting right near camera man. Commentators doing best to get through it.

For the few English soccer fans we have here, how about Leicester City?

Not to have a long off-topic discussion, but even if you don't follow soccer, you should read this.

Leicester City win Premier League pull off most unlikely feat in sports history - ESPN FC

To put it into perspective, it would be something like a 2-11 team winning the national championship the next season in football, with basically the same players. Incredible stuff.

It's like Kentucky winning the BCS championship.

5,000-1 odds is a payday son

Based on wins alone, Leicester City was at the bottom 30% of their league last year.

What is crazy, is the won their last 7 or 8 games. They could have been MUCH lower, and would have been sent down to the next league. (Minor leagues, for you who don't follow.)

Anyways, what would this look like in football?

The best poll I can find right now (that goes that low) would be the team currently ranked 89th... winning it all next year in the Playoff Championship.

88th Georgia Tech (3-9)
89th Syracuse (4-8)
89th Buffalo Bulls (5-7)

Take your pick. Which of those teams do you think is going to win it all next year? :eek:lol:

And this is a league without a salary cap. The teams that Leicester City won against have an endless supply of cash from Russian billionaires and Middle East oil money. And they won with discarded scraps. Incredible.

The best record, over the course of 38 games.

Arguably the best was a little bit of a stretch but he can ball. He's probably in the 10-15 range.

I don't know if I would pick him in the top 10. Doubt he'd be the No.1 on 15 teams. I feel New England system makes him. Heck he's not even the No.1 or 2 WR in his division(Decker and Marshall are better in New York, Sammy Watkins in Buffalo, Landry in Miami). I mean I would personally love to see how silly the numbers would be for those other WRs if they had a QB the caliber of Brady.

Is it the coach?

Is it the coach?

Coach was generally considered a re-tread on the field. This is his 16th different coaching job. He had never won a league title. Finished 2nd a few times, but with superior squads.

There is literally no precedent for this in professional team sports.

Another little perspective, for a league without a salary cap.

Here is the cost of the starting line-ups for LC vs. the competition:

Leicester City: 22.7 million, which is 18th out of 20 in the league.

The top dogs?

Manchester City: 233.6 million
Manchester United: 198.5 million
Chelsea: 197.2 million
Arsenal: 146.5 million

Imagine winning a championship against a team with 10x your budget on starters (let alone bench players, which top clubs always have massive talent at).

In recruiting, I guess it's similar to 2 stars beating 5 stars. Multiple teams have single players that cost more money than LC's top 11 players combined.

As a massive Arsenal fan, I have never enjoyed a Chelsea win more than I did today. Leicester is a remarkable story that I can't help but admire. It's also semi-uplifting that out of Leicester's three losses, Arsenal handed them two (Liverpool handed them the other).

Also, how did you get the Liverpool logo as one of your favorite teams? I looked for an Arsenal logo when I created my account but it wasn't there.

SIAP: Vols at 3 and ahead of Bama at 4 in this post spring poll. Said we could be 1 depending on Dobbs and the WR's. LSU 1, Clemson 2, OSU 5.

Substitute Florida State in for Ohio State and you have the 5 best teams in the country.

IMO there are only 6 legit national title contenders in 2016:

1. Alabama - 4 titles in the last 7 years...nuff said
2. Clemson - have the best QB in the country
3. Tennessee - loaded with proven talent and no question at QB
4. Florida State - loaded with proven talent but question at QB
5. LSU - same as Florida State...loaded with proven talent but question at QB
6. Ohio State - loaded with talent, no question at QB, but unproven

I was trying to think of a good comparison and I couldn't really come up with one because of relegation. Leicester was in the 3rd tier of England not very long ago. They were promoted to the 2nd tier and won that to get to the Premier League. I guess it would be something like Jacksonville St winning the FCS title and making the jump to FBS, struggling mightily the first year and finishing like 2-10 then winning the National championship the following year. Oh, they also have the Heisman trophy winner (Mahrez was the player of the year). ESPNFC had Leicester last in the Premier League and being relegated this year and virtually every site I read predicted them to go down.

I used to date an English girl for a long time. I love the Premier League.
