True, but every QB has dropped INT's. I don't think it's the kind of stat that varies a whole lot.

My only point is that it doesn't necessarily follow that Dobbs' 3:1 TD/INT ratio would have held up if the coaches had had him slinging the ball around instead of focusing primarily on the run game.

Dobbs' greatest improvement from 2014-2015 was playing less loose with the ball, IMO. But he still had lapses and was fortunate to have a few breaks go his way against UGA and Bama. He could have very easily had a 15:9 ratio instead of a 3:1. He's still got work to do on that front.

Hopefully improved TE and WR play will mean his upward trend in that department improves in 2016 as well.

Still the same place, just more permanent residents. Up to 40,000 now. Speaking about South Beach, they still haven't done anything with the Coligny area, although the town council wants to redevelop. USCB is taking an office park off Pope for a campus targeted to Hospitality majors.

We go shoulder seasons now that the kids are raised.

Yeah the Coligny shopping center area needs some updating. It doesn't seem to match a lot of the rest of the island.

We're hoping to get to go back to HHI this year

LWS says over in the FF that Butch has aspirations to go to the NFL.
First I've heard of that.

Ummm okay....we're they picks though? No.

No we're not picks :)

In all seriousness though, I was just posting some food for thought/discussion. If we're going to discount some of Dobbs' picks as not his fault and say they don't count, why not do the same with bad passes he threw that should have been picks? Especially in the Bama game, he was very fortunate twice that DBs dropped gifted passes and once that Jennings' DB instincts kicked in and he broke up a sure interception by a Bama DB.

Granted, that game was either the worst or the second worst game our OL had pass blocking, so it's not exactly fair to lay all the blame on Dobbs. But still, I think it's worth remembering the struggles Dobbs has had as well as the improvements he made in 2015.

I wouldn't be too upset if Butch went to the NFL. That means we will have a great season. And if he left, were in a good position to hire a top tier coach. Coming off a good season with a good roster.

I think if Butch went NFL, it would mean we had a few great seasons. None of us would complain.

Except SGM, but....

Enjoy yourselves. We will be headed back for a month in the fall. If you haven't been since they completed the Shelter Cove Town Centre you are going to be pleasantly surprised. Quality, fun project with restaurants, shops, froyo/ice cream, etc. Beautiful view of the marsh/Broad Creek at sunset while dining and shopping. Nice playground for the kids and a large open air amphitheater area for events.

Word of caution - check on the beach renourishment project's location and schedule. Here's a couple of links.

I agree. That's why I posted my comments on his next gig being the NFL if he left at all awhile back. I had heard that from a local VFL - nothing official. The logic of it makes sense. The grind of recruiting, dealing with the AA, school admin, classroom performance, off-field stuff, etc. gets to these guys. They are financially secure and really don't have much to lose by giving it a shot for a couple of years. If it doesn't work out they can land a good gig back in college if they want to continue. Seemed to have worked out well for Spurrier, Saban, etc.

Butch has all of the contacts and respect within the coaching community and players he needs to do well. However, I don't see it happening until he takes the big step to the national stage here. That could happen in a couple years if all goes well.

I would be happy for Butch if he could manage that. I think it would take a 5 year run of no more than 2 losses in a year for that to happen though with the system he runs.

College coaches are the show

NFL it's all about the players

Go for it. Signed Spurrier, Saban, Kelly, Harbaugh

Are these aspirations to the NFL soon or did he imply maybe down the road? Is Butch no longer happy here? What brought his comments up (LWS)?

LWS basically said that Butch knows this is his best year to make a splash and is hoping it is enough to get on the NFL radar.

The way he worded it, sounds like he wants to jump sooner than later. I can't imagine him getting any offers with just a 10-3 season and East title.

Hope his desire to jump ship isn't him knowing something bad could be coming on the lawsuit scandal?

I agree Eric- his comments seemed out of left field and sounded like Butchs happiness here might not be what it was previously. I was thinking the grind and disappointments of last season coupled with the lawsuit especially the Bowles part of lawsuit, and it's affecting recruiting. Just might be getting to be too much for him?

Am I in the minority when I say that is be holy with 10-2 and a trip to Atlanta? Obviously I hope for better, but 10-2 would be the best season we've seen in quite some time.
