How do we know he was faking? I know some suspected that but I haven't heard anything solid.

Right, so I'm not sure what Bruin is getting at. If he was legitimately having back spasms after warm ups, then the media covered it accurately. If he was faking, how were they to know and how can they report something they don't know for certain. Not to mention the coaches would deny it anyway.

My point was ....who freaking cares if Butch doesn't want to disclose injuries?

Riverdale vs Franklin

I want to see Dandre Litaker destroy Wray. Wray is an incredible talent. Too bad he chose UGA.

Tony Barnhart said on Atlanta radio today, that based on conversations he has had with orthopedic specialists, he would be shocked if Nick Chubb plays any in September and it may be October before he is back. We play October 1st. They have UNC and Ole Miss in that first month.

I honestly hate to hear that. I hope he recovers fully; he is a special talent.

Just my thoughts on MT recruiting

Stevens- absolute Beast. Best Safety prospect I've seen in HS. Much better than JJ and I believe JJ could be an NFL player at S. Fills the hole in the run game and arrives angry. Covers like a Corner. Will contribute day one wherever he lands. My odds of landing him UGA 75% LSU 20% UT 5%.

Gray- will be a Safety in college. Undersized for LB. Needs to add some weight. Good prospect but like D1 has said can disappear in games. Had a game last year where he had 3 receptions for 210 yards and 3 TDs. Odds FSU 33.3% Bama 33.3% UT 33.3% kid changes his mind often. The only constant FSU.

Fant- looks like M. North. Huge receiver that can house it. Gaining some attention from big time programs. Princeton will be a starter barring injury by his Sophomore year in college. This will be the biggest steal of anyone's class. I'm a fan. Odds UT 95% whoever Gray is in love with this week 5%.

Bonds- has gained some much needed weight through the Warriors off season weight program. Kid has the size and skills to take over a game. I have seen him shy away from contact in some games and had me questioning him being an SEC player. Then I've seen him completely dominate in other games (Playoff game vs. Bradley Central). I need to see him improve in run defense this year. I like his game and so does many big programs. Just picked up offers from Clemson and Nebraska last week. Odds UT 50%, UNC 25%, Clemson 25%. Expect more offers this summer and this will change.

Chandler- my favorite back. Dude can take it to the house. He's a home run hitter. Can't help but think about backs in the past from MT when I see him Coker and Stephens. We have got to have this kid. Can not miss. Odds UT 50% OM 50%

Dandre Litaker- freaking stud. Big physical DL that can move. A 300 lb guy who ran down the Riverdale QB multiple times. He manhandled the OL against us both times we faced them. I understand he is a great kid and has several UT fans in his family. D1 has done a great job with several players and Dandre is no exception. Has garnered offers from everyone. Odds UT 75% UGA 25% (likes LSU also) class of '18. Need to stay in his ear.

When are you going to lock them all down, VN Recruiting Coordinator?

I will venture to say we land all but Stevens and I don't have a good feel for Gray.

If we land Gibbs (and I believe we will) Stevens isn't a huge loss. I just hate to see talent leaving the state. We need that pipeline out of MT. Fastest growing area in the nation (1 of). The amount of talent is only going to grow with the population.

Well, I don't think it was out of the question given what little we did hear but I never did hear anything that could really be called solid. How do you prove a thing like that?

But the trouble with injuries in today's environment is that there's no winning either way. If Jones doesn't disclose them then every Tom, Dick, and Harry comes on here claiming to have see X player injured/wearing a cast or a boot etc. I'd rather hear a vague statement from Jones on an injury than nothing at all just to keep the rumor mill in check because word always leaks out and by the time it gets to us it can be utterly twisted.

I don't care at all. So just don't have an injury list at all is the point instead of expecting the puppets that the media are to report lies

They are gonna report what they are given.

If Butch wants to lie to them so be it. If he wants to give them the x-rays then so be it.

He is the coach.

Still not sure what you're driving at here. Moving on.

If that's the case, I wouldn't start him against us on Oct. 1st. Too much psychological baggage and pressure to perform. I'd wait until they had a creampuff so he could find his groove again both physically and psychologically before he's back out there with the wolves. I think what ruined Keith Marshall was coming back to soon.
