Pull up the RB list from 247 for '16, scroll down and see if any show uncommitted :dunno:

Not being a smartass, just a thought.

I did and the only uncommitted RB I found from Cali (De La Salle's Antoine Custer) turned out to actually have committed to Eastern Washington

We need some more 2017 CBs. Its been infinity plus 3 days since we have seen any show up.

Oh and yeah, it would be nice to see the HOT RECRUITING NEWS thread light up again like it's on fahr.

Traveling and stopped for the night in a little town called Galesburg, IL. Eating at Wild Wings and saw a guy decked out in Vol gear. Had to talk to him. He's a local guy that his uncle took him to a game during the Manning years and he's been hooked ever since. We're everywhere.

Yup. EVERYWHERE. Here's a little song lyric from a metal band called "Texas In July" that I think sums up volnation.

"I am the fire, the wind, and the sea...I will surround you like a spreading disease!!"

And......MOSH!!!

VQ mods have said a few times lately that UT is likely going to add a RB to the '16 class. They haven't said who but that it's likely a west coast kid, CA specifically.

Really don't like that. Chances are high, that if a kid is at the level we need him to be at, he would be signed by a Power 5 program by now. Sure, one or two fall through the cracks, but I don't like this. It's like going through the clearance section after the prices have been reduced to 85% off.

Saw a stat comparison between Serrano and Raleigh somewhere. It doesn't make you feel good about things after 5 seasons. Time for some new blood, IMO.

Agreed. Amazing with his background Serrano couldn't get it done though. SEC baseball is extremely tough.

Yep. SEC baseball is a bear and we are one of the worst/toughest 3 jobs in all of the conference

I think Serrano was just a bad fit for the SEC and this school. I agree this is a tough job but I don't think it is like Vandy football in the SEC tough.

I think Serrano just tried to play a style of ball that wouldn't work in the South and it was hard to recruit to that style here. Why do our players look so small? Are we smaller than all the other SEC teams?

I don't follow baseball that closely I admit.

I am hoping we go outside the box with this hire and I am hoping the coaching search starts today.

Agreed on all fronts. To CDS credit he has made changes away from that style but it's too late IMO

Yep, it was just too little too late. I was really hoping he could win enough this year to justify adding a couple years onto his deal but it just didn't happen.

North faking injuries would go a long way toward explaining why he didn't get drafted.

It's absurd to suggest that you actually know that this gifted and dedicated young man was faking an injury. Reporters also have no REAL proof that this happened. Unless you are the team physician, and you personally examined him.

Therefore, the only thing Fake in this thread is posters who make such ridiculous accusations with absolutely NO PROOF. Please go back to the presidential election and be with your brothers and sisters in FAKETOWN!

Any and all players not CONVICTED of a serious crime who put on that ORANGE JERSEY and ran through the T has unyielding and utmost respect from myself and all REAL VOLUNTEERS! :good!:

Not you Volinexile. The Idiot who posted that crap.

Is there any chance that the likely RB they add to this class is actually a grad transfer? Technically RDA IV was part of the '15 class even though he was a grad transfer, IIRC. That or a JUCO RB from the West Coast may be options..?

A grad transfer doesn't really help with the loss of Young at RB since a grad transfer would only be here one year and he'd be behind all the others. A JUCO would make a little more sense.

Not necessarily directing all of this to you, just a minor response from my soapbox...

I don't offer my undying, unyielding and unwavering respect and support to anyone and everyone who puts on a UT jersey, in any sport. Respect is a fickle thing that can be lost and not easily regained. Playing for this university is an honor and privilege that comes with great responsibility. When the actions of the few negatively affect the program and the university, I don't think it's unreasonable at all to hold the responsible parties accountable, regardless of the justice system's outcome.

These are kids, on their way to becoming men, who sometimes make bad decisions, some more serious that others, and just because they're cleared legally doesn't mean they're cleared of wrongdoing. How can they learn from their mistakes and grow as men if they're not held accountable? You can offer your support and hold them accountable but respect isn't something that's entitled to anyone. Just my :twocents:

I am certainly not as serious of a follower of UT baseball as some others, but I do casually watch every year. The close followers have suggested for a while now that the problem with UT baseball is not just coach related. There are things that our AD just doesn't invest in as compared to other SEC programs. IMO, we can't just make a coaching change and think that alone will help the problem. You have to give the coach tools to win.
