And then there is the whole "Be still, and know that I am God", and Him speaking in a "still small voice". Stands to reason that some form of meditation might help with both of those. It's reasonable to be aware of dangers in everything we do, it's silly to be fearful in any of them.

Meditation is proven to reduce stress. I don't see why people get so torn up over it. Prayer is pretty much just another type of meditation.

After this season, there is NO better gig, outside of becoming a head coach

Kinda like CrossFit, which while it has no apparent Eastern religion roots, borders on a cult for some. Keep the Main Thing the main thing, and enjoy all others in moderation.

Yoga is great for people with back problems and injury history. The 2 exercise that make me sweat the most are yoga and pilates.

A quick question though. What do vegan Crossfitters talk about first?

edit: Also, while using yoga you can pray to or meditate on God as well during your session.

Meditation is just deeply focusing one's mind, so you're correct prayer is a type of meditation.

With Yoga, it's not the meditation itself that creates problems for Christianity, it's the focus of the meditation. In prayer, you're focusing your mind on God. In Yoga you end up focusing inward which gets tied up in some of the spiritual principles of eastern religion.

Obviously, a Christian could do the stretching and not meditate or change the subject of the meditation and that doesn't create any issues.

Sounds pretty ridiculous

Yeah, I'm sure God would much rather you spend that yoga time watching TV than meditating and reflecting inward.

So how many years do you guys think we get out of Shoop? I think 2 years max, maybe even just this year.

That would suck, but I think he will get some looks after what he does this year.

I think we win or play for a national title in the next two to three years. CBJ leaves to the NFL and Shoop slides in as head coach.

Ask if we're doing so bad in recruiting because recruits don't want to have to do interviews with Wes Rucker

I still can't get used to John Brice being at 247. They've started emulating VQ with a lot of on-camera content, and Brice of course remains a pro, but Rucker and Callahan look ridiculously awkward and uncomfortable.

Just don't play Dungeons and Dragons, read Harry Potter, or catch Pokemon and you should be in good shape spiritually

I remember in grade school I had a friend that wasn't allowed to read HP. He wasn't allowed to hangout with me because my parents let me read the books.

RC reminds me of Doug the cartoon and Rucker is Ricky Bobby on camera with his hands.

From an article writing standpoint, I actually think Rucker does a pretty good job. But he seems pretty douchey personality wise. I definitely don't think in front of the camera is the place for him.
