I think if a ball carrier lowers their head, it should be an ejection just like a defender.

Jalen disagrees.

Fluffle puff eh? I took it to be pinkie pie done over. I just lost 2 dad points.

I've had to flush a lot of really useful facts out of my brain to make room for Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, and Fluffle Puff.

Fortenberry has also said that powers want someone who is familiar with UT. He also said there is a chance we have a replacement before the calendar year ends.

My oldest has now moved on to Minecraft, so my MLP is getting fuzzy. Youngest is still stuck on Mickey.

On to hiring Blackburn...

Well go ahead. Spill what you know

It's not Peyton or Fulmer. DePietro has a list and I know they feel confident they will get their first choice. They will go through the motions of the official search process, but I wouldn't be surprised if they already have some sort of informal understanding.

Does anyone remember eazyTD saying many months ago about the path to the AD is being cleared for Fulmer? Personally, I'm all aboard the Blackburn train.

Good. That means it's probably Blackburn.

Fortenberry mentioned that Hart deserves credit for opening up the wallet to sign Shoop.

Hart deserves credit for a lot of things. Did he have some goofs along the way? Sure. He did do a lot of good too though.

In the end though, I think we can do better with the next hire.

So we've purged the Gator Cheek and the Tide Hart.... Let's bring in someone who only sees big orange. Blackburn, Fulmer, or Davis.

Fulmer is too old. Davis has a good gig. Bring on Blackburn

Davis loves UT. I've told this story before. I was standing behind a goal post in the indoor facility watching Jr kick at Specialist Camp. Davis walks out of a door with his son and a guide (son was visiting). They walk up to the mural behind me of the team running through the T. Davis looks at his son and says "there's no greater feeling than that moment. How can anyone visit and see this not commit right on the spot?" He told the guide how much he loves this place.

Blackburn probably is the smart pick but I can't help but want a guy who loves UT.

Things are getting back to the way they should be...our university being run by people who bleed Pantone 151. When this happens, it usually coincides with our football program being elite. :giddy:

If we have any other areas that Jones decides to improve, - ZA *if that turns out to be the issue, I would be okay with that happening before Hart left.
If nothing else, he does seem to understand that if he spends the money, the return is bigger, when it comes to football.

Hart:

“Our University will name a new Chancellor at some point prior to the conclusion of the academic year which has just begun. This decision will allow that individual to select his or her own person to this leadership role and allow me to lead us through what promises to be a very exciting upcoming year in many respects. The positive energy is tangible, not only in our building, but among Volunteer fans everywhere. That is very gratifying to witness.”

Hart also said:

“My intent is to retire from the role as Athletics Director on June 30, not to retire in the purest sense of the word. There will be another challenge out there. I plan to continue to assist and inspire people in some manner moving forward. Right now, I am excited about what this year has in store for us on Rocky Top.”

Meh. That should be expected for a top-tier football program. You want to win, you got to spend money. Hopefully the next AD doesn't feel like he's doing the coach a favor by opening the wallet and does it because he knows you have to spend to be competitive.
