Now Jumper is taking out our offensive players too?!?!

He's escalating. His attacks on Bowles and Crowder aren't enough for him anymore.

"Tennessee WR Josh Smith was seen on crutches with an apparent ankle injury, per @JimmyHyams. He'll likely be out vs. Ohio."

"Smith's injury will likely mean more playing time for freshman WR Tyler Byrd, who's been impressive since arriving on campus."

One of the few guys we could lose where the backup is more than capable.

Would love to see Byrd take the position and run with it.

I've been very unimpressed with Josh Smith's play so far this season.

"On the SEC teleconference, Butch Jones says they'll "cross that bridge" at the end of the week regarding any offensive line changes."

Sucks for Josh but YES for Byrd! Excited to see him.

I remember going to a Naples game last year to see CFA (Byrd was committed to Miami still) and came away thinking how much of a stud Byrd is going to be. Glad we got both of them.

His athleticism is on another level.

Would like to see Mizzou give UGA an early conference loss. The game's in Columbia so you never know.

This would not hurt my feelings. If The same UGA team that played last week shows up again anything is possible.

This was LWS response in regard to Neuheisal as well

I think the possible solution is moving JRM to Mike and playing McDowell. That is moving an all conference player from his position so not the best solution but gives them more athletic ability on the field. Hopefully Jalen can make the adjustments necessary. Recognition of the offensive adjustments and then making correct calls are pretty important.

I've no idea what Neuheisal is talking about. Can't even think about a possible issue he could be referencing . I'm certainly not aware of some off the wall events going on in the program.

He had more rushing yards that Kamara! :eek:hmy::eek:hmy::eek:hmy:

I still hold (and it pisses me off) that DeBord is holding off on the full offense until Florida. Not the time to debut IMO but if I'm not off in left field, we'll see a nice mix of the offset I with the spread. Hurd (of course) could run both sets and would be the top candidate when they line up in the spread and shift to the I before the snap. Mixing it would keep defenses from loading up on him like they have in the spread...no jailbreaks because play action passes out of the I could kill them. Kamara and Kelly (and Fils-Aime) are more deadly than Hurd out of the spread and I believe Kamara's carries will pick up more out of that set...jmo...been wrong before and recently. :)

Jones just said that Smith tweaked his ankle yesterday in "pre-practice" while fielding a punt. Said questionable for this week...he's going to try to practice today or tomorrow.

Butch says Kyle Phillips has been limited by a high ankle sprain, suggests he'll get an opportunity on Saturday with LaTroy Lewis out.

Seth Stokes just asked point blank if parents ask about their kids playing time and how it's handled. Jones responded that all parents want their kids to play, it's the world we live in. The kids just have to stay the course and be resilient and keep working. Then he went into a long story about his son wanting to quit being a kicker his senior year of high school and how he wouldn't let him quit.

Butch calls Jonathan Kongbo getting his stripe removed yesterday (by Derek Barnett) one of the team's best moments of the season so far.

Butch on Kongbo: "The smile on his face when he got his stripe removed, it was something special."

Butch says shuffling the offensive line against Virginia Tech was "pre-planned" rather than a reaction.

“I anticipate us mixing some lineups up and trying to find the right mix." - Butch on the OL.

Butch on the Kaepernick stuff: Everyone has the right to freedom of speech, but we're not on the field for the national anthem.

For those who haven't seen it, Dabo was asked about this too. And his answer was pretty awesome. A good watch if you wanna go find it.

They expect Evan Berry to play.

Jumper will take the first snap at MLB. Said Bates and Bryant have also done a good job there.
