Ouch Doug Mathews saying Williams and Wolf shouldn't see the field against Florida.

Croom looked pretty good and in past years Dobbs always had a good chemistry with him so I'm a bit hopeful that we might see more production there.

Matthews is probably overreacting a bit. I know they made some errors but what was his reasoning for benching them?

He is very salty this morning. Says if you can't catch the ball and hold on to it you can't play in this game. Williams really should have had the 2 TOs yesterday.

Lol no one blocks well on this team out of a few plays here and there. Yeah Wolf misses one catch and now he shouldn't play? Of course he gets one attempt a month. That's a laughable comment from him. Florida week=all hands on deck including Mr . line everybody up 53

I am guessing he does pretty good film study. I don't watch every detail in every play. So, I would say he has a better understanding of it than most of us.

So with GameDay coming to Knoxville does that mean the game time will be changed? I thought we were set to be the 3:30 CBS game?

Doesn't affect the gametime. They picked it as the showcase game...ESPN doesn't broadcast every game Gameday shows up at...it'll still be on CBS.

Well they were on him but I don't think benching is in order here. At least, Malone is playing very well.

I don't either we aren't D4H:). Seriously though he talks about blocking and Jashon gets blown up at LG every two plays and that's his only job but singles out the TE we never use. It's a comical overreaction. Williams played bad but should still be part of the game plan imo. It's going to take everyone to beat UF

I noticed Croom played over Wolfe nearly the entire game yesterday.

Ethan Wolf doesn't block very well. Unless it's a pass play and he has a route to run, his effort drops off and blocking is not his strong suit. He'll have to really step that up to ever make the NFL at that position. Croom on the other hand gives much better effort and is more effective as a blocker.

Yea, but when you aren't playing up to expectations, everyone is under a microscope. If we hadn't scored a TD on the first drive after Wolf's drop, then a FG makes it a much tighter game. I don't watch the TE's block enough. I am guessing Robertson is the best option right now. I thought the analysis was interesting yesterday about the App State game when they said Robertson was shading to help Richmond while Thomas was getting blown up.

Hubbs also said "we don't expect to see Kirkland back" for the Florida game.

I'd rather be for sure on his comeback from an injury like that anyways.

That's an injury where if you try to come back too soon you can really mess it up long term. It's not worth it for the kid. IMO
