I literally read posts on this message board pre-Ohio game worried about the combination of noon-game-against-MAC-opponent and whether the team would come out kind of flat.
And that they did, and still won, and are 3-0 In a college football season where favored teams are dropping like flies... I'll take it, gladly.

There's a weird tone of sourness and whining and hand-wringing on this message board. Based on the 9 years I've been posting, I know it's bound to improve as the week goes on, but still...

Except we didn't come out flat. We scored a TD after 3 (well-executed) plays, and forced a three and out on the first defensive series until some dummy grabbed a facemask on a punt return. After that, the injuries probably deflated the team, but the coaches and leaders didn't pull us out of the funk, or call the plays well at all for the rest of the first half.

On Jumper, he didn't make any egregious errors. It looked like he just contained and waited for others to rally to the ball on anything outside.

I'd rather him do that than fly by the ball carrier, whiff, and cause a big play. While sometimes frustrating to watch, it's smart.

Well they were on him but I don't think benching is in order here. At least, Malone is playing very well.

I am president of the P Willy fan club, but dude had 3 touches yesterday and one of those was a deflection off his chest for a pick setting OU up in the red zone and another one he fumbled. Ouch.

He has to play with more focus or he doesn't need to play.

Hubbs alluding JRM injury is his shoulder. Said we'll have to see where he is. Said something like we'll see if they can tape him up and see if he can go.

Noticed on the replay that jumper dropped coverage on the last OU touchdown pass over the middle, he was standing at the goaline watching.

Not a football expert, but some said Abernathy should have dropped back. Jumper was further inside, so not sure whose responsibility it was. There was also a back that someone had responsibility for as well.

Just watched that play. Looked like Gaulden may have had responsibility on that play. After that play he put his head down and put both hands on the side of his helmet.

I looked up Appleby's stats as a starter.

He is 2-9 starting with 19 td's and 19 ints. He has thrown for 2777 yards. He has completed 55% of his passes. He doesn't appear to be very mobile with 290 yards rushing on 117 carries.

He was benched twice. Getting the job back the last time through injury.

Somehow some way find a way to win this week. That gives an extra week for DKJ and JRM to get healthy. If we can somehow get them back by UGA and be 4-0, I like our chances with Shoop scheming around the loss of Cam.

we just need the defense to show up and the offense to pick up their slack saturday and we should be fine. Offense pretty much owes em one at this point. A&M is a different story i really hope kirkland is back we will need him.

new note7 doesnt spell check or capitalize, in before grammar nazis.

He started where?

He's not mobile at all.

He definitely in the right positions except for when he bit on the play action on the goal line and gave up an easy TD.

I do worry about his speed matches up with UF receivers and TEs.
