This is exactly why guys with the talent to do so should always go to the NFL. I love my college team having the best players possible, but these guys need to look out for themselves. Playing for free with the risk of catastrophic injury is just not worth it.

Poor play. Says they can't be trusted. Says wolf can't catch a cold and isn't blocking well either

Something is obviously going on with Wolf- probably not happy he is never used/utilized... Williams is a 5* that is not playing well. Hope someone on the sidelines helped him with his bloody nose he got from the ball hitting him in the face mask so hard... "the resort" is playing like he is on vacation..

Looks like Michigan got a great DC in Don Brown. He had BC's defense ranked #1 in the nation last year and giving up only 15.3 ppg.

They got beat by VT last night 49-0.

Sutton wanted to come back and finish his degree. His decision was not just a football one.

That will pay off in the long run for him.

A safety blew that. Per the broadcast it was Abernathy. They first called out jumper but then corrected themselves

Ok, my bad. I just saw a quick replay during post game coverage and noticed the receiver blow by Jumper, and him turning around and watching. Nonetheless, dude was all alone in the endzone. This was after about 12 Miller lites of course! Haha

That degree talk is BS. Your degree will NEVER get you a job making the money pro athletes make. You being an entrepreneur and being very successful might but a degree won't do a thing like that.

1) Finishing a degree isn't always about money. Depending on one's goals, values, and aspersions it can pay off in other ways.

2) Pro money isn't a guarantee. Although he clearly has talent to play professional football, freak injuries, car wrecks, etc. still happen.

Yep. Plus you can come back over a couple summers in the off season and finish the last year any time you want.

None of the three guys that you mention were viable choices when we hired Butch. No one would touch Petrino and Hermann and Fuente still had not proven anything. It would be interesting had he kept Pittman, but I think he wanted to ride with Mahoney because he knew the blocking scheme. That is not an excuse. I wanted Pittman, too. I do think that he had a great chance when Bajakian left but chose to go with someone he knew. Debord has been only average so far as OC, in my opinion and clearly has not helped improve the OL very much.

Fanbase screams for homerun hires which wouldn't have been Gary Patterson, Herman,Sumlin et al...when they were realistic options. It's a closed-minded mental approach.

Important enough to him. Can't project our GOALS onto him. It was an acceptable ( for him ) risk...made easier due to a slightly down junior year. He'd have been drafted around the. 3rd or 4th round depending on combine and pro day results...if he recovers adequately, nothing's been lost.

Patiently waiting for post Dobbs era.

Dobbs needs to be a threat to take off at all times, he's just not a very good passer beyond 10 yards. When they take the reigns off him and let him go, he's significantly better.

The QB battle next year is going to be VERY interesting. We have 3 very capable QB's ready to take over, each with different strengths.

This is complete B.S. Look at the numbers, degree holder's earning potential increases by over one million dollars over your career with a bachelor's degree and over 2.5 million with a master's and beyond.

A degree isn't an entitlement to a prosperous life, it's a key to open up opportunities that wouldn't exist without it. It still requires hard work and dedication.

His "career" in the NFL could literally be over in next year's training camp. And yeah, he'd get six figures and beyond for that short amount of time but try stretching that money over a lifetime, with a mortgage, medical issues, kids, and retirement.

Education is crucial to the overwhelming majority of football players who get the privilege of having a free education. If football is their career choice, I wish them well, but let's not pretend as if a degree doesn't help.

His two best games (South Carolina and UGA) were when we got down and the just let him loose. I wish they would just do that once.
