I don't disagree, but when your receiver has beaten his guy by that much, the throw doesn't have to hit him in stride. Air it up and give him a chance.
So if Chance is good to go and starts which it sounds promising that will be the case how do you all feel about this?
I think this could really, really improve our OL and give us a shot at somewhat slowing down UF's really great DL.
LT - Brett Kendrick / Drew Richmond
LG - Jashon Robertson / Venzell Boulware
C - Dylan Weisman / Coleman Thomas
RG - Jack Jones / Venzell Boulware
RT - Chance Hall / Coleman Thomas
I can see us targeting Malone a couple times down the field on Saturday given his production to date, but I cannot see this staff attacking Tabor or Wilson frequently. I think we see a very run heavy offense on Saturday. Based on the offense's production as a whole so far, this is a game where we can't afford turnovers. I wouldn't mind seeing Kamara out in the flat more or see us using Wolf more in short yardage situations. With Dobbs' mobility, I would also like to see Debord use more misdirection stuff. We need to get their defense off balance, and our offense so far this year has been able to do anything but that.
I have confidence in 2 of those 8 guys going up against the best defense in the country, and both of them are true sophomores. So, not that good.
But luckily Florida has even bigger problems on offense than we do. Should be a real barn burner.
Not expecting a high scoring game. Gonna be a slug fest between the trenches.
Our OL will struggle with their DL and the blitzing.
Their DBs will match up one on one wth our WRs. Get physical with Malone and he will get frustrated.
Our O will be all Dobbs, Hurd, and Kamara.
D needs to force turnovers and get some 3rd down stops.
I like that lineup outside of LT.
But that is just my opinion.
I think our OL gels with Chance back in the lineup and we play our best game by far this week.
Not a football expert, but my guess is that throw is made to a spot. Not sure if it was man coverage or not. I am sure they practiced it frequently, and the QB is told to throw it at a spot, and the WR should be there. He doesn't look at the WR and throw it on feel. I just don't think that one is on Dobbs.
His downfield passing has been much better this year. JMO.
No offense op, but that is make believe. It is a fans way to think they have some kind of outcome on the game. "Tangible"- do you want a fan to run out on the field and tackle someone? What a fan does has ZERO bearing on the game.
I don't know how frustrated Malone will get. He hasn't shown that in the past. Actually responds decently to press coverage. He's been better than I thought he'd be this year early on too. Virginia Tech has some talented DBs too. Our WRs winning some versus them shouldn't be discounted. Now Josh Smith did look overmatched in that game.
