Seems like we had the same expectation of this game last year (i.e. it's going to be low scoring, first one to 10 wins, if we score two TDs we win, etc.). We all know how that one ended. I wouldn't be shocked if there are more points than we expect. I'm not sure if that benefits the good guys or not, though.

We need to get Jennings to rile up Tabor and get him to punch him and get Teez tossed!

I watched JJ do this many times in HS. He works on their nerves until they snap. He had Gaulden and Wharton ready to kill him. I remember Okeke retaliated and extended a critical drive.

He would bark and bark and then when he gets smacked in the mouth he just smiles all the way back to the huddle.

I'm finally getting to a bit of the replay. I really like the pump fake to the flat and the throw to Croom over the middle.

Some of our star players have some bad semi-tendencies. Barnett has got to stay onside on third and short. Dobbs has got to keep possession of the ball when running.

Same goes for the rest of the team--high and tight. Too many fumbles, but I like that our guys are paying attention and jumping on them.

Barnett gets about as close as you can to lining up offsides as there is

I'll drop this little nugget from TS here:

I truly believe we will win by 3 touchdowns. They are gonna be completely open now. Martin will fill in sutton. Maybin is back. We can work with the mlb by rotating linebackers around.

I sure hope he's right.

Yeah and the usage of 'cuck' has gone through the roof in the last year. It's one of those things that went from zero usage to suddenly trendy. It's like the word 'baw' in that regard. Both terms drive me nuts.

Do you count points off for the usage of these words in your class?

So Chance Hall looks good in Fortenberry'a clips from today. He actually looks pretty mean. He tosses a sled out of the way like he's pissed at the world.

I bet he plays.

We, gonna, whoop, they, ___, ____.

:birgits_giggle:

I can see my HS AP English teacher having a fit right now. She would fail you if you committed the dreaded 'comma splice.' That fear had so much sway on me that I avoided commas altogether in English class and would rewrite any sentence that wasn't an obvious list where commas were appropriate.

She was also super anal-retentive about the stapler. We were allowed to use it but hell would break loose if you picked the stapler up instead of sliding your paper into the stapler and using it from the desk. lol.

"Tennessee continued their preparations for the Florida Gators and all eyes were on Chance Hall as the Vols prep for the top ranked defense in the country.

Hall appeared to move ok in early technique work. How much work he actually did on the practice field remains an unknown. We will see where the coaches think he is later this week.

The Vols did some limited one-on-one work with the offensive and defensive lines that we saw and the first five on the OL appeared to be the same that we saw last week, left to right; Brett Kendrick, Jashon Robertson, Dylan Weisman, Jack Jones and Coleman Thomas. That was a brief look in a more or less walk through drill, but for now those seem to be the five.

Thomas continues to have both ankles heavily wrapped.

On the injury watch: Osborne, Abernathy, Latroy Lewis, Jalen Reeves Maybin, Jalen Hurd, Jauan Jennings were all in green jersey's but all were dressed for practice.

Osborne appeared to have a shoulder brace. Lewis is battling an ankle, JRM is the shoulder, Hurd and Jennings are always in green.

Josh Smith and Justin Martin both practiced and both had pretty heavy tape jobs on their ankles.

Butch Jones was preaching ball security early and got after a couple of players who he didn't feel like tucked the ball away well enough in some special teams work. Obviously, improving ball security is a focus. The Vols have fumbled 11 times in three games.

Jones was also working very closely with his punt teams. Calling it the new punt team indicating some new personnel was on it. We didn't get to see that as that period started as we were leaving practice."

I typically don't count off for grammar since it's not the subject matter. It would be kinda funny if either of those words came up in class because there's not much room for them. If it were done in an appropriate manner I might add points despite my distaste for the words.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Chance Hall could have played 2-3 weeks ago and Butch knew he wasn't crucial to winning those games and let him heal up.

I think he'll be close to 100% if not comfortably 100% by 3:30 on saturday

Oh the humanity.

She was a character and I was a little hellraiser in HS. I once got her so worked up that she took me out in the hall, grabbed me around the neck and just shook the hell out of me. I'm sure parents and kids today would consider that abuse or whatever but I earned that. I knew her buttons and couldn't resist pushing them.

In her defense, I have to say that what she put us through academically made college super-easy for me.

I'll trade him being that close for his big plays. He's killing QBs early this year.

Like I said, just don't extend a drive by jumping or lining up over on third-and-short. Preferably not at all, but they extended drives Saturday with penalties (ahem, TK Jr.).

I want to see sack city this weekend.

Lol. I picture Homer Simpson strangling Bart while reading this. 😂

What passes besides the well thrown TD to Malone against App State has proven to you that his downfield passing is better? Seems like the same ol' to me.

Downfield TD pass to Malone against VTech. Other than those 4 that have been mentioned, I don't believe he has thrown any more.

As you said about the cross field pass, he has learned to put more air under it. He used to throw line drives down the field.

"Florida writer: #Vols are ‘Kardashians’ of college football.

During an appearance Monday on "The Paul Finebaum Show," Gainesville Sun writer Pat Dooley called the Vols the "Kardsashians" of college football "because they look good & haven't done anything."

The Vols (3-0) will get the chance to prove Dooley wrong Saturday (TV: WVLT, 3:30 p.m.) at Neyland Stadium when they face the Gators (3-0)."

Smith, #6 for Ohio, pushed Moseley about five yards downfield on a curl for a first down after that long catch that TK barely made it over for early in the second quarter. Shouldn't that be called? Announcers completely ignored it.
