This is exactly where I stand.

Everybody knew we had to come out wide open on offense. Everybody knew to beat Bama you had to make them cover the whole field. What do we do? We let them guard about 5% of the field. We continually spotted them a down by running it right at the strength of the defense on first. Then punting putting a depleted, decimated, and tired defense right back on the field.

We threw the ball 4 times on first down today.
Averaged 2.5yards per play on those passes.

We ran the ball 17 times on first down and averaged 3.5 yards per play.

proves running was good and nor was passing. Play calling wasn't the issue

I'm definately not confident we win out unless we get A LOT of these guys back from injury and start playing a complete damn game like we did the in the final stretch last season. No one asked about strength and conditioning tonight in the presser. Hope it is asked on Monday because something is not right. I am well aware teams get beat up but we are dropping like flies in every game.

Play calling was most definitely an issue along with injuries and execution.

Lol, that proves nothing. When you throw 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage half the time and 3 yards past the los the other half, your passes are not really passes. They're extended handoffs.

Anything less than 10-2 would be still be a disappointment. If it were a good team I could stomach another loss. But considering what's on deck its WHO we could potentially lose to (Mizzou, SCar, Vandy, Kentucky) that would make me curl up and cry. Woof.

Lol the SEC east is garbage.

It's so bad. But we need to be healthier to walk through that schedule undefeated

It proves a lot. It proves the OL couldn't run block on first down. It proves the OL couldn't pass block on first down long enough to complete pass down the field. And since there isn't another option the coach calling the plays was damn if he did damned if he didn't either way.

Again, had zero problem moving the ball with both backs in the backfield

Kmac's tweet doesn't make me feel much better saying whatever Gods plan I'm in or something to that effect. Sounds eerily similar to other players that had significant injuries. Thanks a lot Obrien for your stupidity- what looked to be a good group might also be depleted if his injury is significant.

There were plenty of things Debord could have tried instead of sticking with as plan that obviously want working.

So we can't run block on first down so let's keep doing it?

So we can't block for a normal pocket so let's not roll Dobbs out to give him a run pass option to make the defense have to decide what they're going to cover?

So let's not try the quick passing game going to quick slants? (They were there).

So since putting Hurd and Kamara in at the same time and let Hurd lead block for him worked, let's never go back to it?

It was an abomination of a game plan that they never deviated from.
