Dobbs didn't run on some plays because he chose not to. Sure, the play calling could have been better. But Dobbs missed several reads both running and passing. He had several wide open passes that he missed. Frankly, after the first couple of sacks, Dobbs got scared. He started checking down real quickly.
I wonder if the staff knew we were likely to lose the game and wanted him healthy. And so they told him to get rid of the ball fast and take care of himself on the field.
We have been made of glass up to this point and losing Dobbs for several games on top of everything else could have derailed the season.
