You make it sound worse than it is. He is part of an ongoing legal battle between TX and their former track coach. She banged one of her players and claims that there is race and gender discrimination because Applewhite had a one time affair with a student trainers(adult age) during fiesta bowl trip. The lawsuit has nothing to do with him beyond someone claiming he should have been fired if she was but he wasnt

“My coach called me in and basically told me that they had snapped my offer away,” Cotman said. “They wanted somebody with experience, so they wanted to go get some junior college players.”

Cotman said he felt betrayed by the school he had been committed to since July 20:

“I’m not that type of person to talk bad about a school,” Cotman said. “I really loved Tennessee and I was looking forward to it. When I got the information, I felt a little bit down, but at the same time I still have to look forward and look at the best place for me.”

The talented athlete is now considering North Carolina, Auburn, Kentucky and Ohio State, among others.

According to 247Sports, Cotman is the No. 16 athlete in the class of 2017 and the No. 39 overall recruit from the state of Florida.

Yes they could. They could say we communicate with our commitments regularly and are always open and honest with them about the process.

They do. This class will probably look much different come signing day. Probably more change this late in the game than any other class so far for Butch.

My biggest criticism of this staff the past year or so is stuff like this. They keep burning bridges. Way too many. He burned bridges at Cincy at some schools and doing it at TN. They really just are not good at slow playing kids without pissing them off or upfront with kids they cut. Really pointless to take them early.
