If he can't even bring good recruiting, Jones is essentially useless as a coach for us at this point.
Hoping for the right job to somehow open up to hire him away.
Hoping Dave Hart gets hair dye in his eye for giving him a 10 million dollar buyout.
I don't get the Applewhite talk. Wouldn't he just follow Herman to Texas, his alma mater?
I haven't conceded Trey to OSU just yet. Having said that, if this class really does tank then I'd have to agree with you.
A bad season is just that. Sucks, but c'est la vie. It's only one season; you can tinker with your scheme, your staff, come back strong.
But if he's lost his muse on the recruiting trail, the impact lasts years. Dooley's exit showed us that. If that's really the case here, we need to move on.
Don't worry about it. There is a 3* diamond somewhere out there that even with that offer from Buffalo, they all ours.
Going to be brutal if we miss out on Smith...sheesh. That wall Butch supposedly put around the state in 2014 has come crumbling down.
I get a sense that Tennessee is particularly easy to recruit against. I guess it's because we've been down so long and instate players grew up while we sucked. Butch's last two years resemble the end of the Mark Richt tenure, but Richt's recruiting never fell off.
We really do need stability here. I think if we could ever get a guy in here that could get this thing rolling we wouldn't lose instate talent like this, even in the down years.
