This whole Jones is looking to leave story is greatly exaggerated. Coaches always test the waters to see if there are any opportunities. CBJ was never going to go to a lower level program. No program rejected him or did not want him. He has a very good team coming back and if Smith and possibly Moore are added to class then oline is set and very deep.

Any guesses on when Butch comes out of his bunker of silence and talks to the fans and media about playing in the MCB against a "very, very" tough opponent in Nebraska? $100K for not meeting expectations is just hard to swallow. He should donate it to the Gatlinburg relief efforts.

I don't know but a Tenn (8-4) v. Nebraska (9-3) seems to me to be a good bowl season match-up after a disappointing regular season. Take the practice time, count one's blessings, play to win.

He can look all he wants... the fact is nobody wants him.

He conned Hart when he made him think Michigan wanted him... and now the Purdue thing... Somehow I think Hart is gonna fall for it again.

We have a coach that freakin Purdue doesn't want.

Not a bad matchup. Two historic teams, could be a good one. was hoping for a better bowl game but this is better than playing Indiana or Iowa.

The MCB is the 52nd time the Vols have gone to a bowl game. That ties us with Texas and Georgia for 2nd in all-time bowl appearances. Bama is 1st with 60.

Two thing are or sure defense needs to improve and we need a QB to step up next year. Still talent on the roster but replacing some studs for 2017. Hopefully one of the QB's just dominate.

I'm sorry some alum want better for UT. I guess we aren't allowed to voice that opinion. Keep carrying the water for Jones or don't read my comment. Since my birth UT has lost 5 times to Vandy and Jones has 2 of them. Year 4 and we got beat by Vandy. Keep accepting mediocrity.

Correction, We have a coach Purdue cannot afford.
I am disappointed with this year, but CBJ took over a dumpster fire here and has turned us around. You would be incorrect to believe there are programs who would not want CBJ.
If you listened to the player interviews before Vandy game, the 5th year seniors have seen the change first hand. Next year is critical for him and he does need to make changes, but to think no one wants him is wrong.

I used to not block anyone and still, if they have any reason to them I do not block. It's the ones that are either completely miserable or trolling. Either way, I'm over it.

There must be a communication breakdown. No one is accepting mediocrity. Just want to move forward and make improvements.
