Except you devalue the season so the number of 2/3 loss teams in the upper tier will increase. Look at the NFL.

Why would teams want to lose a game? I don't think it does at all. IMO, it increases the number of games late in the year that matter.

Correct. Auburn didn't fall much after that Bama loss because everyone around them lost as well.

Alot of programs would love to have Peterson. But he wouldn't come to, so it's a pipedream

It's also just a different age. Money is not that big anymore. Everyone pays. There are only a few coaches who are sure things. Places like UF and LSU aren't hiring elite coaches. Even Herman hasn't had success at the P5 level.

I'm not saying they want to, but it happens every time. Remember during the BCS error there were only 13 out of 32 teams that made it to the championship with 1+ losses. Alabama is looking to become the just the second team to reach the CFP Championship undefeated. That's 4 out of 6 championship teams will have 1+ losses. I can promise you it will devalue the regular season because the 4-team playoff has already done that.

Florida was ranked #15 and get smeared by Florida State and then annihilated against Bama finishing 8-4 and they drop 2 spots. Seems legit.

I'm just saying but didn't Tennessee get blown out by Nebraska Peyton's senior year and then come back the next year and win the natty. Plus tee Martin wore #17 and the next season will be the 2017 season. So the facts say 2017 will be the year of tee for Tennessee .
