You aren't living in reality if you think this town is drinking Jones' bath water.

Could be right as well.

They seem to be a more vicious group as of late. Maybe that's where I'm misjudging their numbers.

Davy Crockett surrounding the Creeks by himself.

I'm sure there's not enough venom being spewed at Butch right now for the liking of some.

To the later. It doesn't really matter at this point. His fate has been in his own hands since he got here. Maybe our fumbling issues this year are a foreshadowing, who knows.

Pro Football Focus has Garrett and Barnett both on their First Team All-American. They are the only ones that are paying attention.

Garrett got all this year's sacks except four against UTSA. Barnett's were against SEC and FBS opponents.

"On the coaching front, we again don't expect any moment from Butch Jones on his staff until after the bowl game. We don't believe there's been any dialogue with Jones and former Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich. And, according to multiple people we spoke with on Wednesday, we don't think Jones has made any final decisions on his staff although everyone expects some changes. On the defensive side of the ball if there was a change for some reason on the defensive line then we fully expect that former Michigan head coach and Oregon defensive coordinator Brady Hoke would be a very real candidate. Jones has known Hoke for a while and Hoke actually spent time in Knoxville a couple of years ago visiting with Jones and his staff.

We do know that Larry Scott has interviewed with Florida Atlantic for its head coaching vacancy. It will be interesting to see how much of a real candidate Scott might become for the South Florida job that came open on Wednesday. "

No dialogue between Jones and Helfrich.

Very specific, Hubbs. Doesn't say no dialogue between representatives of the two or in some fashion.

Brady Hoke would be interesting.

You're just trying to connect the dots...

From what I am told, the players didn't want to do the workouts and eventually convinced Butch to run him off.

Once that happened the accountability on each player to develop and put in the work was gone.

The players let this trickle from the weight room to the practice field to the playing field.

It showed. Early and often.

Exactly the information I have been given. Dave Lawson was doing a very good job, but was dismissed because the players refused to do it his way, complained to Butch and got Lawson fired. So, who is responsible for this debacle? And what message was sent to the team?

Yeah. Somebody doesn't watch much football.

Our PR and player promotion really sucks at this point. For Tennessee to be great again many things need to change. One is public perception. It helps recruiting, keeps the fans happier , and some of the heat off the coaches so they can just worry about doing their job.
