Recruiting Forum Football Talk XXXI

Tried posting this in the basketball forum but hoping to get more love here!

I am a long time lurker on Volnation, a UT grad (Dooley Era), and UT Football season victim. Since I have not posted on this site I am not able to create a thread and hoping for a little help from Volnation.

I currently hold a position that helps put together the INFINITI Coaches Charity Challenge on espn.com/infiniti. The ICCC is a round by round challenge where 48 Coaches compete for votes. They can advance up to 4 rounds, where each round they are able to make more and more money for the charity of their choice. Rick Barnes is currently competing for the Emerald Youth Foundation

The past 2 years I have seen coach Barnes see little to no love (Right now he is at 0% of the votes). All I ask is for 1. All of Volnation to go out and Vote! 2. One of the more seasoned members create a thread to get the awareness out!!

Thank you guys and Go Vols!!!

And Prescott played in the West, Dobbs played in the East when the east was as bad as its ever been.

I think Dak is on another level from Dobbs, especially in accuracy and decision making.

You've always been a Dobbs hater man. It's ridiculous to say the least. Dobbs has taken over games in the SEC whenever the playcalling was loose. I watched Dak have questionable decisions with the ball at Miss. State. His WRs were very good and running backs were decent. I think he had a more creative playcaller as well. Dobbs produced big for us and improved his deep ball more than anyone in the country compared to the year before.

You disliking Dobbs is just on a level that's ridiculous though. Man outproduced every QB in the league this year. Led a bottom feeder Tennessee team back to at least bowl and SEC East contenders. Stop with the nonsense and appreciate the level of QB we are losing. Smh

Exactly.

A couple of NFL legends don't make the difference in winning championships at the college level. Its overall depth. Alabama is always in the thick of things not because they have the best future NFL players but because they have alot of good college players.

22 good players will always beat 3 great players surrounded by 19 average ones.

Has someone informed Butch of this?:thud:

I know this should probably be posted elsewhere but I thought it was hilarious!

LOL, I've given up trying to help you understand that all things in life aren't binary extremes. Dobbs is no Dak, and if you think that's insulting or "hating" on Dobbs, so be it. Dobbs has turned into a good qb. We can do better, especially with taking care of the ball; but he helped get us back to respectable. Believe it or not, both those things can be true.
