Yes but they aren't pedantic or tiresome. Some fantasy authors and authors in general will be great storytellers but have parts of their books you just get bored with because they go too much into detail. Martin's writing isn't like that at all. He takes forever to put out his books but the difference between his writing and others in his genre is pretty extreme. It's quality.

The big exception to this is when he's describing what is being served for any meal 😂😂😂

my sisters boy is a freshman staying in massey hall this year, does ut allow visitors to stay with the students? i may try to make it to knoxville more this fall.

Sorry for the continued off topic convo, but I am a huge fan of fantasy, and I have read quite a few series, including g ASOIAF. While Martin's writing is wonderful, I have to put a plug in for my all time favorite series, Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson. It is by far the most epic and awe-inspiring fantasy I've ever read.

Yeah but he also selected the writers for the show because they impressed him as fans of the series who wanted to do it as much justice as they could within the confines of a TV series.

That is true. They still have free reign to do what they want. I don't like all the changes but for the most part, I think that they have done very well.

BB is clearly hacked

no win over "trash Bama"

😎

Well our LBs and Jones as the head man make me not even say anything.

Also if #12 is the trigger man I retract this statement. I have no predictions or expectations if he's the starting QB. 😎😎😎😎

You better hope Qd is not great because you sure have let it be known that you think he is trash. I don't get the motive I don't care who the triggerman is I just hope he is successful.

I didn't say anything.... I don't have any expectations from this team if he's the starter. 😎😎😎😎

For not saying anything, that sure is a strong statement.

As someone that was at the spring practices, I think we will be in good hands whoever gets the start. Canales will have them prepared.

Really wish we could've seen more of JG in the spring game. I hate that the weather cut it short. I don't think that any of us know what he can do yet

That's basically where I'm at.

I do think Guarantano had the higher upside ultimately, but if the coaches go with Dormady, then IMO it will just mean that he's doing a lot of other things that go into the QB position at a high enough level to trump any disparity in natural talent.

I admit this is nothing but speculation and I really hope I'm wrong, but part of me just has a sneaky feeling that Guarantano might not be mature enough to be dependable yet. He has all the potential in the world to take over games for us, but I can see him trying to do too much and putting us out of games as well.

Dormady may lack some of the traits that make Guarantano elite, but he's still got a really good arm and just seems like a steady presence out there. That could be a big X factor for an offense that will be featuring a lot of new faces this year.

Seeing how he handled an up and down first half would have been nice, for sure. Even if it was just a glorified scrimmage with most of the defensive starters missing.

Him running without a super quick whistle would've been nice. That first sack was about to be a good gain.

Yeah we really didn't see what he could do as a passer or a runner. They didn't call any deep routes for him like they did for Dormady. I really have no clue how good JG is because all we saw was a few short routes

Well Dormady only threw wheel routes to the TEs. Which isn't hard seeing we were in man and the guys are going to basically rub open to an extent. He dropped the balls in there but the super vanilla play calls kinda is a waste of a Spring Game. Not like throwing deep to entertain the fans is an injury waiting to happen. We didn't take ANY shots. Smh

None of Dormady's passing plays were all that deep either. His longest passes were really just intermediate passes. The offense was trying to get the ball out quick for the most part.

Dormady and Guarantano averaged 12 and 10 yards per completion, respectively.

If Guarantano is the starter, what's Tennessee's record this year?

Okay, maybe Dormady'a throws seemed deeper than they were. I just remember that great ball to Wolf in the corner. Either way, all I'm saying is that with only 5 passes and no runs, I have no clue if JG is a bust or the next Heisman trophy winner
