Okay, maybe Dormady'a throws seemed deeper than they were. I just remember that great ball to Wolf in the corner. Either way, all I'm saying is that with only 5 passes and no runs, I have no clue if JG is a bust or the next Heisman trophy winner

Yeah I liked how he bounced back from that first pass he was late on. Started ripping the ball some.

Well with you chalking up losses to Bama you tell me. 🤓🤓🤓🤓

I can see anything from 8-4 to 10-2. Talent wise I think Tennessee is better than 9 of the 12 teams on the schedule, maybe 10. I'll say 8-4 as of right now. That could change after fall camp.

Vols have had better recruiting classes than Florida or GA in 3 of the last 4years. We are more talented than them imo. Only thing that they have that we don't is an experienced QB (if Florida doesn't start Franks)

Eason still looks erratic with the ball. Florida with Franks we will see how much he's improved. That defense won't be what it has been for years though. They don't have a dominant CB at Florida this year. Been a while since you could say that. Literally years for them.

Speaking on QBs, LSU still doesn't have one. 😎

Sorry for the continued off topic convo, but I am a huge fan of fantasy, and I have read quite a few series, including g ASOIAF. While Martin's writing is wonderful, I have to put a plug in for my all time favorite series, Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson. It is by far the most epic and awe-inspiring fantasy I've ever read.

I read the first one. A bit convoluted but very entertaining. I will try to pick them up again, as I did enjoy it very well.

I can definitely appreciate your sentiment. The author doesn't do any handholding and it's in medias res. I can only tell you that each book gets better, and better, and better. Don't give up on the series until maybe after the third book. That said, the series definitely isn't for everyone.

putting WAY too much stock in spring ball.

He was knicked up in the spring as well.

I'm kind of expecting Chandler (and maybe even Jordan since I'm pretty high on him) to end up being better the better back, but I think CFA can still carve out a role for himself this season.

You were impressed by him this Spring?

Nope, doesn't mean he will just lay over for a freshmen either. Kelly is a talent, but Fils-Aime isn't slaw, and he knows what he is supposed to be doing. It's the same song and dance every year though, the new kid is always better than what is on the current squad.

Tom Luginbill, on the Sports Animal, says Florida is still very talented and has the best talent in the East. I have no idea where he gets that. Maybe last year that was the case, but they lost a ton of talent on defense and they still don't have any proven playmakers other than Calloway on Offense. And, their QB situation is more unproven than ours, IMO.

I'm thinking 8-4 as well. I hope to be about 2 games off.

Anything less than 8-4 for me would be unacceptable. I think we lose to Bammer and LSU, split with Florida and Georgia, and slip up once to a team Tennessee shouldn't lose to. I'll gladly eat a little crow if Tennessee wins 9 or 10.
