I will admit I have no real facts to prove this, but I bet Dormady has nowhere near the beer throwing stats that Bray had.

A few games but didn't they "throw" a game on O because they didn't want to go to a bowl?

The infamous "WR at QB" UK game. Bray had come back from injury (I think it was his wrist), and it seemed like Chaney forgot he was rusty by trying to throw a bunch of 20 yard outs. Bray was 15/38 while the UK WR was 4/6. Maybe the coaches were in on that plan too.

While I don't disagree with you, it certainly helps when every time Bama gets a commit from a lower rated guy, he automatically gets a pretty hefty bump.

Not being argumentative here, but I'd like to see some data on that- not sure on the best way to capture it though. Im sure you are right in that there is some effect, but suspect that it is somewhat overstated.

Yeah, Bama gets the vast majority of their 4 and 5 star guys when they are well, 4 and 5 star guys. I also agree to a small extent, the services may be giving a bump to a Bama offered recruit. However, it may be warranted as they may decide to watch more film and analyze the said recruit due to the offer. JMO

UK has 14 4/5 stars in two deep.

Bama has 36.

I added them up like this in my head may be a bit off but

4/5* Totals

Bama - 36
Tennessee- 28
Georgia- 25
Florida - 22
South Carolina - 17
Kentucky- 14

Combine these facts with the public noise that we have no talent left and will get beat by 6+ teams and this is how dreams are made.

I can't believe I'm the only one to give this a like so far.

I'd be interested what those numbers were last year

Yes, Elam and believe or not, I think one of their RBs, may be, but I am guessing

Lol...Elam isn't a 5 star. He's not even a 2 star. He's terrible. He's another example of a player getting a major bump when Bama offers.

elam is one of the worst DL i saw in major CFB the last 2 years. That guy is awful.

in fact, for such a defensive guru Mark Stoops has had a laughable defense every year hes been there. Thats not gonna change this year.

Stoops and Odom are the worst coaches in the SEC IMO.
