I think it's that the national media can't name a single player on our team (other than maybe the two QBs that are battling) and they have lost all confidence in Butch Jones, because he went 8-4 rather than the expected 10-2 after his team was decimated by injuries last year.

Makes no sense to me. Michigan State and Notre Dame had all-time bad years last year, and I hear more positivity about those programs this offseason than I have about Tennessee.

That's the truth, we are all different. I just don't see what some people even enjoy about being a "fan". If everything is viewed in a negative light, what's fun about it?

And that's not just me being snarky, I legitimately don't understand.

Do some research on Jimmy, he was a sports writer as a teen and has an amazing career. No other sports writer in Tennessee is as good.

In some cases, it's attention and/or acceptance at any cost, even if that comes from self deprecation or abuse. It's the same mindset that says that there is no such thing as bad publicity...in this case, abuse = attention. Again, some folks got funny wiring.

Others are just half-empty people. Nothing busted there, just not particularly positive people.

Texas also get a ton of hype and they have been worse than us by alot. Its ridiculous and its just fodder. Whatever these tools predict will probably not pan out that way. Literally all of them have predicted us to be garbage and lets be real what are the chances all these guys are gonna be right at the same time? no chance. Ive also said that a few times that they cant name 10 players on our team right now without looking. The people on here know more about our program than these clowns in the media.

That's literally what it boils down to with Sallee. Its funny when he does interviews and discusses TN, he won't give you names or hard opinions. He tiptoes to the line of just saying he's mad they made him wrong last year.

Its always "I have trust issues...", "Its difficult after last year...", etc. We have plenty things to point at as questions, but he lobs the emotional answers out there.

He has to say that when he doesnt know the personnel at all. Thats why these guys are laughable and shouldn't be taken seriously.

South Carolina fan on Finebaum just said they win the East because they have the best offense in the division. Said Georgia is the only threat to them.

Went on to say they beat Clemson.

No. I think he'll have a huge impact at UT. I just think those guys ahead of him will have even bigger impacts. I believe Tanner Ingle is a high level NFL player. He'll be a stud here. Same with Alontae Taylor. Adrian Martinez will be a stud QB so that will always be valuable. And finally I love Greg Emerson's potential to be a dominant defensive lineman.

Cade will be great too. This is an awesome class. No shame at being #5.

This is the reality everyone (including Vols fans) is ignoring. This is the easily most talented Tennessee team top to bottom since the 2001 season. Last year we may have had more superstars but we have much better experienced depth this year. Chemistry also seems to be better. Schedule is easier. And with an improved strength and conditioning program, we will hopefully not be bombarded with injuries.

Everything says we should have a GREAT season this year. And paired with the lowered expectations, it could be downright special. I'm calling it right now:

Team 121 = 2017 SEC and National Champions :)
