Until Byrd becomes a game breaker at receiver a lot of fans are going wish he was at corner. A couple of good plays a game doesn't equate to the impact of a shutdown corner.

What is interesting is if Byrd goes to defense I'm pretty sure Shoop sees him as a safety. Don't know if playing corner is on the table at all for Byrd.

What y'all jumping the gun on guys that haven't played a down In college football..Palmer nor Latrell should be on this list

Don't try to reason with him he thinks he is gods gift to evaluating college talent before they've ever played a college down.

I like Johnson a lot too, but it's not like he's super experienced or anything. He barely played last year.

he played in every game except 2 him and byrd was the only freshman wr that really played..he may not got that many catches, but he got good experience last year..at least we saw something..

It's hard to describe but all of his motions (route running, catching the ball, etc) look so fluid and natural. He kind of reminds me of Amari Cooper. I don't think/know he's as fast cooper or has the ability to make guys miss, but everything looks easy for Palmer a la Cooper

amari cooper? lets pump the breaks a lil bit..lol we need to see what palmer do on the field first before we say he is amari cooper..one of the best college football wr of all time..no wr on this team is on the level of amari cooper including my nephew Brandon..lol im just saying

A couple good plays a game at WR isn't impactful?

Pretty comical to think last year at this time Breaker was posting that JJ wasn't comfortable at WR and looked bad in the practice videos. Lol

We need to remember VN wanted Jennings at safety and now his couple of good plays a game have won games.

im a realist..thats all I can be and im going off on what I saw last year..im not being biased. If Brandon aint good enough I will say it. The kid got good experience last year

I asked about his whereabouts a few weeks ago, and never got a response. I hope everything is ok.

He is probably taking a break for a while. I would imagine all the negativity on here wasn't too appealing for him.

I've always thought Byrd should be on defense. I'd rather have him impacting every play on that side of the ball as opposed to him only touching the ball 6 or 7 times on offense at the most.

i agree with you but i also think hes gonna touch it way more than that going forward.

We have no way of knowing if he is a shutdown corner. Just wishful thinking at this point. Personally I think the guy ends up going pro as a WR after his junior year but that's just my opinion.

Exactly. Just like Jennings would be a great safety. We don't know

Hope so. It's a good problem to have but we have a lot of options on offense. Jennings, Williams, Byrd, Callaway, Kelly, among others all need touches. If you ask me now would be a good time to move Byrd if it was ever going happen. He's too good to only touch the ball a handful of times a game.

no im not being biased lol.. so u want me to say callaway and palmer are better than Brandon? if they was I would admit that..not once have anyone seen me on here say that Brandon was better than Malone because he was not better than him..im not going to say right now he is better than Jennings because of experience..im not going to say callaway, palmer and murphy are better than Brandon because they haven't done anything nor barely played a down yet.. lol
