Bruh. Only two? Wade is a top-5 SG all-time. He's a LOCK for first ballot. Lebron is guaranteed first ballot. I'm not 100% on Bosh being FIRST ballot, but he seems like a sure-fire HOF as well. 10-time All-Star. 2x Champ. That gets him in.

I was going to contest your point on Wade, but the more I thought on it I realized you were right.

I think Bosh will be on the ballot a few times before he gets enshrined, if he ever does.

Lebron got destroyed for leaving Cleveland. Part of that was definitely because of the show he put on in "The Decision", which came off a lot worse than he thought it would. Plus the intro-party they had in Miami was ridiculous. "Not 3, not 4, not 5, etc..." But he joined the 5th-best team in the East that had just lost in the 1st round in 2010. Granted, he and Bosh joining Wade made it a super-team, no question. But it's not even the same level as what Durant did this past year in free agency.

The reason I don't like Durant going to GSW is the fact that he joined a 73-win team that he should've closed out in the playoffs that season. Joining a team that had an argument at being one of the greatest of all-time took what Lebron did to another level. This team is unguardable on offense, and are certainly quite stout on defense. FTR, I think this team could beat any of Jordan's in a 7-gamer, and I still think Jordan is GOAT.

My only thing with the first paragraph is the fact that he still created the team. If Miami had gotten Bosh the year before Lebron and they played they would have been one of the top teams, if not the top team in the East already. Is it a 73 win team? Hell no. I definitely get that part. But still, its the same 73 win team couldn't beat Lebron in the Finals last year.

The second part in bold would be a really fun discussion, IMO. I will however not comment on that as it's two completely different eras and there has been enough NBA talk already.

I think you are 100% correct. If GS wins last year, KD is probably still playing for the Thunder.

We made his top 3 with UGA and AU. The twist is the fact he went to camp at OSU this weekend. Don't know what that does with the top 3. I think AU is fading and not sure about UGA, since many think they land White. Blaze45 is close to the family. He/she specially said he and the family had a specific set of ideals for making a decision. I mentioned that I thought one of those was that he stay close to home...blaze agreed. I think he wants the OSU offer because of the prestige of it, but I still feel he ultimately ends up a Vol.

Really though, we need to see if Shoop is legit. I understand he had all those injuries, but even before the injuries, our defense was not on the way to being a top 25 defense I don't believe. We all believed he was coming in to do what he had done at Penn State with less talent, leading the nation in sacks, top 10 in the country in total defense, and we struggled right out of the gate. I really want to see if Shoop really is the defensive mastermind he was praised to be and paid to be. I hope so, because if he is, we could be special, in spite of the talent we lost on defense.

Shoop has been a proven top flight DC for years...He didn't get stupid overnight.

I know, which is why we should be optimistic for the coming season. But he has to prove it. Why can't Shoop bring a top 10 defense this year? We are still talented? If he is as good as he was said to be last year, Bartoo saying he's a NC DC, then we should be very optimistic, right?

Last year was a cascade failure. Shoop is not the problem, but that doesn't mean it will be a top 10 defense. I just want a good fundamentally sound defense. The players have to play better fundamental football.

Does anyone have the time to provide a state of the program?

Do we all hate Butch? Is this THE YEAR? Is the pucker factor a 10/10? Are things chill right now?

There are a range of sentiments:

- We are National Championship caliber and will certainly win it all this year



- The Nashville Predators will win the Stanley Cup and inspire the Vols to win big during the coming year! TENNESSEE PRIDE BABY!!!!!



- We are a good team with lots of talent, and now we need the coaches to coach and the players to execute.



- Oh no! We suck again. (Because we lost Dobbs/Barnett/Malone/Sutton/etc)


- Shut VN down because Bass won't stop the basketball Bron Bron talk and we are considering tar and feathers to avoid the same conversation from taking place during game 4 (also known as, The Last Game of the 2017 NBA Playoffs)


- Fahr Butch and burn his house to the ground and salt the earth where his house used to be





- Shut the program down because we lost to SCar and Vandy last year

Butch is the laughingstock of the unfair media still. COL is still said about everyday by somebody on twitter. Meanwhile however, he and his staff are killing it in recruiting, especially in state. Looks like he'll probably end up with 8 of the top 12 in state guys if not more. QB competition is ongoing, seems that QD has a slight lead. Freshmen just arrived and began summer workouts, my man Matthew Butler already impressing. King kongbo doing well from various reports. I think most of us in here are cautiously optimistic about the coming season. Oh, and we hired a new baseball coach if you're interested in that. Supposedly a Big time hire

glad to see a recruiting rebound. i got concerned about the lower class this year. i know we got some good guys but still need to be top 5 to compete year in/out.
