Ray Allen wasn't a superstar or even star level player when he joined the Heat.

Durant joined a team that has the 3rd best, ~8th best, and ~15th best players in the league. The Miami team Lebron joined had an injury riddled ~7th best player and the ~14th best player. Ray Allen was probably somewhere in the 30-40th best player range at that point.

Bull-effin-sh#t.

When LeBron joined the Heat, D-Wade was universally considered the 3rd best player in the NBA after Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. He was only 28 years old and was one year removed from averaging 30ppg, 7apg, 5rpg, and finishing 3rd in MVP voting. Chris Bosh when he joined the Heat was 26 years old and had just come off a season where he averaged 24ppg and 11rpg. Those are numbers that would make someone a top 10 player in the NBA.

Stop with this revisionist history. Wade and Bosh had their numbers suffer playing next to LeBron over the next 4 years but when they joined forces in 2010 they were both considered top 10 players in the NBA.

There is a reason in 2010 when the Heat formed Jeff Van Gundy predicted they would win 73 games and Vegas made them the favorite to win the NBA championship. They were a superteam we had never seen before. Nobody had seen 3 guys considered top 10-12 players in the NBA team up while they were in their 20s.

LeBron James laid the blueprint for Kevin Durant. KD just took it to another level by creating a big 4 instead of a big 3.

Bruh. Only two? Wade is a top-5 SG all-time. He's a LOCK for first ballot. Lebron is guaranteed first ballot. I'm not 100% on Bosh being FIRST ballot, but he seems like a sure-fire HOF as well. 10-time All-Star. 2x Champ. That gets him in.

People underestimate Bosh because LeBron forced him into becoming a 3-point shooter rather than a traditional PF. But before he teammed up with LeBron, Chris Bosh averaged 24ppg and 11rpg on the Toronto Raptors.

Chris Bosh was an elite top 10-12 player in the NBA when he joined the Heat.

It's awesome to see these 2019 and 2020 kids jumping in early. Clearly the outlook of our program is a lot different to these kids than to the media. Hopefully we can keep these guys, but this is promising for sure. Would like to see Scurry get back in before signing day 2019 tho.

glad to see a recruiting rebound. i got concerned about the lower class this year. i know we got some good guys but still need to be top 5 to compete year in/out.

thanks for the info.

We ain't gonna be top 5 this year either. We may break into the top 10. But this class looks to be great in the trenches and QB.

When I was watching in the 4th, they were very complimentary of Kyrie. They basically said that he and LeBron were carrying the Cavs and that he was having a terrific game.

This is why James is not a TOP 5 all time player when the games is on the line in the last 2 minutes or minute he doesn't won't the last shot because he can't close the deal most of the time now for the first 46 minutes of a game he is a top 10 player of all time but in crunch times he fades away for some reason Jordan lived for this part of the game so i hope this put this to rest if he is the best of all time he isn't top 5, if he had played in a weak East, if he was in the West how many finals would he made What if he played in UTAH or Portland what 1 finals might be like Karl Malone never won a Championships hew is good the first 46 minutes but he chokes in crunch time for some reason.:eek:hmy:

People need to have a little patience with Jones. The comparisons with Dabo are more than fair. Yes, he won his conference in year 2 (with a 9-5 record), but he also had 2 losing seasons in his first 4 years. He had to learn to get over the hump and win too. He didn't inherit nearly as bad a situation as Jones did; Bowden had gone to a bowl 9 out of 10 years. And the ACC isn't nearly as tough a conference. I mean, who do you have outside of Va Tech and FSU that's even a threat to Clemson?

That is the longest sentence I have seen in a long time.
