Cross bar is 10 feet high. If the ball had risen 4 feet in 7 yards, it could reach over 20ft in 36 yards, twice what is required. Note that I'm not say it would have...I'm not an actual FGFS (Field Goal Forensics Specialist)...but with sufficient velocity it could have.

But of course Paul F. Bain stopped it...with a cold stare....so we'll never know.

Went back and watched video again to make sure I wasn't being unreasonable. It was a low kick and I don't think it was going to be made but I respect the other opinions. Not low as I thought.


By the way didn't realize we had Calloway in on that play until watching replay

All the analytical measuring tools are going to be skew by the GT game this year but if as many suspect the game doesn't at all reflect the quality of our defense against traditional opponents then people are going to be surprised when and if they do find that we have a pulse on that side of the ball.

The media is so out of touch with the majority of the fanbase that it's unreal. Yes, the minority is loud and screams on twitter but they are the minority. The majority is in wait and see mode.

Finebaum has a garbage can on set continuing to mock Butch for it. They were talking about JG having a bad attitude. I think the garbage can thing is going to be a fixture for today's show. You know, cause were the only team in the country that does that. Well, except for A&M and SMU and others. And every team has a gimmick for turnovers. But, it's Butch, so lets mock him incessantly. You know, typical media.

Maybe he was mad we looked like dog crap. But Condredge Holloway came over to him at one point while he was sitting away from his teammates and was talking him up. It looked bad but we don't know for certain.

Either way we need this kid. Glad he responded this way.

1. winning the turnover battling and converting those turnovers into points
2. Special teams - especially punts and punt coverage

Serious question. Do you think some of the games we played in 1998 were handed to us?

There are people who attributed our NC that season to a whole lot of luck.

Breaks are part of the game and if at first they go against you - I think you're suppose to keep fighting, maybe even harder, something like that, only with steam or something.
