Breaks are part of the game and if at first they go against you - I think you're suppose to keep fighting, maybe even harder, something like that, only with steam or something.

Good post and yes some games were handed to us.

The big difference here is what does it mean for the future. We don't have to talent we had in 98 and I can't see us continuing to get breaks like last night all year. We have to be better and After last night I don't think we are can be as good as I was predicting before which was 9 wins. I am down to 7 or 8.

I'm still at 11-1, maybe 12-0 with a little "luck". I'll concede the scoreboard may force a revision to my projections as the season moves along - but back to 1998, I wasn't expecting that. So now I just try to start off expecting that so next time it happens I can say, along with D4H, I told you so. :)

My bad. It does bother me because it is unending. But, at the end of the day, you're right. We won. That is what matters. We win 11 more and they'll be forced to stop talking

I agree with that. Seems like he gets caught up in trying to make the players happy, which almost always backfires.

We're 1-0. While I believe context matters, I don't believe in treating a win as if it was a loss.

The defense has a lot of work to do. Dormady has work to do. The WR core, behind Callaway, has work to do. But they get to put in that work as a 1-0 team instead of a 0-1 team. Showed a lot of guts last night. Several of our young players looked like difference-makers.

On to Indiana State.

In the end yes but when considering what the future looks like it means something. That is the only point I am trying to make.

My hope is the defense looks much different when Tuttle gets back and against a traditional offesne but that D has some serious confidence issues and needed a good start after last year imo.
