That storm shifted a little more west since yesterday. Looks like it won't make direct landfall till almost Tampa. Worse for Gainesville

moving equipment is not a problem. D1 schools have staffs who do it 6 times each year. Moving people is more difficult, especially hotels, food , planes, buses. Moving 70 plus players, coaches, trainers and support staff means housing and feeding 120 people.

Saw this quoted by someone else. Don't usually see your posts, BUT given that so many - for some ungodly reason (Glichtenwalter and Butchna) - can't also not see them, I see some of them. Best I can tell you missed a line before your "That clear?" line. Should have read:

"I ain't never ever never ever never ever going to get to a point where I don't post opinions and then claim someone else - or many multiple someone elses - claimed the same, thus it is fact, and UT football - whether coaches, players, AD, practice field or game field are the absolute worst ever. Vols suck, and this team/program will never be up to my standards - and no one can ever know what my standards are because I change by the minute.

Alright, peeps. Taking my oldest daughter to her first game tomorrow. She's 7 and it's time to indoctrinate her into UT football.

I will never forget my first game. Akron in '89 when I was 8. Nothing suspenseful or dramatic about the game itself, but the way the sun glistened on that beautiful shade of orange was forever imprinted into my being. I remember bits and pieces of UT football before that, but from that game on it's like a photographic memory. Name a game and I can tell you what I was doing that day.

May history repeat itself.

Dude. That was my first game too. I was 7. That's crazy.

Main thing I remember is the Akron mascot dropped a water bottle someone handed him through his mascot head. Looked like he peed all over himself. High comedy to a kid.

So I just got in from the bar and was catching up on the new "code of conduct" guidelines being advocated by the safespacers here on VN and I wanted to test the limits for compliance. I'm using a random name in an attempt to offer some examples of an opinion on a fictitious FBS defensive coordinator.

Bob Shoop declared that opposing teams would not be permitted to run against his defense. He backed that up by innovatively declining to field a defense. This strategy is know in football parlance as Bob Shoop sucks.

It is a well known fact "in some circles" that Bob Shoop sucks

After each game this year, in honor of the highly respected Bob Shoop, the player that least distinguishes himself in the game will be recognized as the recipient of the Bob Shoop Sucks award for that game

Hey Mr. Postman, Bob Shoop sucks

Bob Shoop left his position at one school for a lateral move to another school under vague circumstances. He didn't pay the buyout for his contract so the former school sued to recover the buyout. Bob Shoop's ironclad defense against the suit claims no buyout was required because Bob Shoop sucks

Bob Shoop has 43 defensive players on his roster but has only ever met 4 of them. He loves those 4 guys very much and spends Saturday afternoons visiting with them in the recovery ward at the local medical center and talking Bob Shoop sucks war stories.

To reiterate, those theoretical comments are in regard to a fictitious FBS defensive coordinator not to be confused with the real Bob Shoop that appeared for a short while in the 2nd half of the Tennessee-Florida game last year and then vanished away. If we could find a way to get a guy like the real Bob Shoop as our full-time defensive coordinator D4H would be the most revered prophet of our day and LWS would be pumping sunshine by the 55 gallon trash can loads however I wouldn't expect to see any change from Bruin or Catbone. They're two of the most consistent members of our forum and consistency is always undervalued by the instant gratification members. jmo.

Okay, okay. just my inebriated opinion. I hope it doesn't come across as insensitive. I'm trying to be in compliance, but just barely. #GBO - 12 hours until you know what.

I'd rather it go to a neutral site unless they play at Neyland as the 'home' team and we give them the gate money. Reason being I don't want to have to play twice in the Swamp.

It may not be optimal but I would like to see them put some packages in for JG as a change of pace. 10-15 snaps a game . If he gets hot ride him.

A healthy QB rivalry will push both and the team will benefit. Up to Butch and company to manage this .
