Yeah I don't think you're right about this. They scored their first TD with Jumper in the game and he blew two opportunities to make stops.

You need to take your own advice

THE first half was clearly played better with Jumper in the game. 110% sure on that. Second half I am not sure who played when.

The East has been horrid for most of his tenure. But we haven't won it one time. He needs to be fired at the end of the year.

If we don't then we risk losing some of our best players because of his terrible personnel management. We can't lose Byrd and JG just so we can let him lead us to a 7-5 or 6-6 record this year.

You are forgetting that with Butili at MLB they went right down the field. With Jumper they punted multiple times and had three and outs. . Then we put Butili back in and they scored again. Why do we let results cloud our biased???

Jumper was in on the touchdown drive because he whiffed on the screenplay.

If it takes a 7-5 or 6-6 season to get him out of here then so be it. I'd rather that happen than us to 8-4 with losses to the big four. Feel exactly how I did in 2012.

OK, if it's out there, it's out there. I have heard that we have four players who have threatened to transfer. JG told some players after GT that he was leaving. He's made it known that he's not going to sit behind QD two years. Two players threatened to leave last night; another one threatened to leave today. I think one of them may have cleaned out his locker. All of it is 100% unnecessary. Our coaches need to be able to manage this.

CBJ and CBS aren't getting along. That isn't new. Apparently, CBS thinks that CBJ hamstrings him and makes it impossible for him to run the defense he wants. They're barely civil to each other. I've been wondering if Shoop will quit. It's crossed my mind that he's sticking around to see if CBJ gets released and he can get an interim tag.

IMO, most of this will get patched up. Position coaches have talked players back before-- more than we know-- so it's possible everybody will play against UMass and this will all go away. But it shouldn't have been allowed to escalate to this point.

I'm way behind but if this is all true it explains a LOT about Shoops defense not looking like it used to. I didn't remember his candy defenses looking this passive.

Today? No. But unless he wins the East it's time to move on. And hopefully Currie doesn't let him go until he has a very good replacement on the line. Should be a much better pool of candidates this go round.

I appreciate what he's done for our program. He has worked hard but he is a terrible coach when we get on the field. I am tired of having a near nervous breakdown at the end of every game that isn't a complete cupcake.

That said, I am guessing he can go 9-3 and they won't fire him.

All I ask is please don't hire a Kiffin or Dooley and set us back again.

There's never a scenario where I want us to lose games

If he's 8-4 with losses to those four and we hold on to him, which would be likely, it would just prolong the inevitable. Just like it Dooley would have beat Vanderbilt in 2012 he would have gotten another year, making the program that much worse off.

Ya know, after a day and a half to settle down and re think a lot of things. Even through all the complete bone headed decisions by CBJ, the Vols had every opportunity to win that game, and from what I recall, left at least 13 points off the board, 2 missed FG, and 1 dropped TD pass (2 on the same drive).
Final score should have been 33-26.
At the end of the day, it comes down to execution, and some of the players did not execute.
I know we all want to blame CBJ, and he has a heavy burden to bare, and honestly has a lot of questions that need answered as far as personnel and substitutions. However, as far as Florida, we should have won that game, and his coaching gave us that opportunity, the players just didn't perform when needed. (yes I'm directing this at you Medley, and the other kicker in which I can't pronounce, and maybe even a little at Palmer, Martin and Abernathy... lol)
You expect a freshman kicker to hit field goals of 51, 51 and 47 in his first game in the swamp? He hit the first one, but those are some mighty hefty expectations. Medley's was more makeable (44 yards I believe), but he hasn't been known to be automatic from outside 40 yards since he's been here, so don't know why anyone would expect that to change in the swamp. How about running the ball at the 1 yard line instead of lining up in a finesse offense and throwing it? That may have put us in a position to win...or maybe even after all of the other garbage throughout the game, when we were in FL territory with time running out, run the ball then to try to bring the clock down. Bottom line, the coaching made plenty of mistakes. Oh...by the way...who's teaching Palmer, Martin and Abernathy?

This is where you and I differ. I don't root to lose. Just like Dooley and just like Cuonzo Martin, I root for us to win and then make tough decisions at the end of the year.

I wanted to beat Mizzou in 2012 because I thought Dooley would still get fired. I will never root for us to lose. Maybe a sigh of relief when things fall a certain way but not to lose.

Yeah, I thought the 51 yarder was a complete bonus. If you are relying on a freshman making those types of kicks in college to win games, you aren't going to have a very good record. The two that he missed, I was just impressed they weren't complete shanks.

And butuli payed two drives at MLB the first half. Florida scored on both. Jumper threw a Shutout for the first half.

Who would play second half after those results?
Lol ok so now you're saying Bituli deserved to be pulled because UF got two FGs while he was in?

And your claiming they marched down the field while he was in?

One drive they started at their own 44 yard line and ended up kicking a 41 yarder.

The other they drove down the field, but we got a red zone stop. No red zone stop with Jumper at MLB sadly.

I'd go with Bituli, regardless of whether UF got 6 points while he was in the game or not. Bituli might be a little late on a read here and there, but he's got athletic ability to make up for mistakes. Jumper might read every play perfectly, but he'll still fail to make the play too much. He's the equivalent of a QB who can read defenses and get the offense into the right play every down but can't throw the ball farther than 15 yards.

They scored two field goals. Your reaching

The opening drive was very concerning. They went right down the field and we never stopped them as they self distructed with penalties. The staff didn't like something and made a change with Jumper and it paid off. I don't blame Butili for the other FG as it was a short field but the facts are his only two series at MLB we gave up points.
