There is usually no shame to losing in the swamp. It is how they lost. Losses like Saturday have eroded confidence in Butch and any passes he may have had are gone.

If you think he coaches tight now hang on.

What would we be saying if Florida had lined up and blown our doors off? If they truly looked like a much better team.

Or if they beat us on a bunch of trick plays? Like they truly out coached us.

Would seemingly every corner of the fanbase still be calling for Butch's head? I don't think so. There would be some elements of course. But I think a lot of the sane ones would say "wow, we're a young team, still a ways to go - Gators must be really good" or "tip of the cap, Swamp Donkey really pulled a rabbit out of his hat on this one, great game plan."

Instead, neither occurred. They didn't look better than us (or even equal to us), and we didn't get out coached. We beat ourselves, mainly with poor play calling and bad execution on key plays.

Losing that way is unforgivable to this fan base. And it should be.

That may have been the worst Florida team we have ever played. I thought I'd be over it by now but it's just getting worse.

I am very curious what kind of team Florida actually has. We need to remember that is exactly the same kind of game they have played the past 2 years and they have won a lot of games. I am betting they win 8 games or so.

I'm betting <7

Awful

i dont blame wiggins and i feel bad for him. He was an All-ACC player at one point. They went after him big time only to effectively end his career. It doesnt make sense. Nothing this staff does makes sense. Esp when i watch Martin and Abernathy back there it really doesnt add up.

Was Mississippi State his 2nd choice?

John Kelly makes sense. I just want to know whose grand idea it was to sabotage his Heisman break-out game.

It's going to take a lot for me to change my opinion, although I won't post it ad nauseum on here.

He needs to go. Today.

I've seen enough coaching from him to form a solid opinion that he'll never be the guy to get is to the next level.

Let Shoop get his shot at being a HC as the interim and have Currie earn his paycheck. Two ELITE head coaches are out there right now in Bob Stoops and Chip Kelly...he needs to make them file a restraining order against him before they stop taking his calls.

...and kick the tires on Gruden while you're at it.

I can understand why some want the season to play out before they shut the door on Butch, we all want this to be our only loss this year, but I just don't have any confidence left in Butch. None.

cant wait to hear the cliches and coach speak smh

He becomes ridiculously irritating after a bad loss.

It's also kinda funny how his own appearance has sort of changed in a grotesque way as fans have grown tired of him. When he started here he looked young and energetic. 3 years in and he had that perma-sunburn with pubescent-breakouts and a big, swollen face.

He can't handle this job.

And this is where I swear we have the dumbest fans in all of CFB. Yeah, let’s burn a Peyton Manning jersey because it’s signed by Butch Jones. SMDH.

Corn whiskey?

Who is the fourth player wanting to transfer? JG, Wiggins, Byrd and ?

I forgot about the early signing this year- all the more reason for Currie to not sit back and wait. Hanging onto our current players and our recruiting class (at least majority of it) would make it easier to get a proven coach. Allowing Butch to continue making us the laughingstock of football and we are losing players.

Wiggins is a RS Senior, he can't transfer anywhere. He's out of eligibility after this season. Feel for the kid, but coaches have always liked Moseley, and Martin had an awesome hustle play that should've won the game for us. Wiggins is not going to start here barring injury.

I just googled Dan Mullen's salary out of curiosity, and this came up for his Wikipedia page, lol

I'm not even sure what people are waiting for here. Even if he pulls out of the tailspin, the trend is clearly established. Live on a knives edge till the atmosphere gets toxic, and then scramble to win games that will send you to a bowl game held in a locale where you hope the weather is unseasonably warm. It's not going to be different next year.

By all means, it's not realistic to fire him now, but he's shown what he is at this point.

Only Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and North Texas has allowed Florida to score over 24 points since the 2016 season

Get Dan Mullen. Whatever it takes. Not Chip, not Big Game Bob, but Dan Mullen.
