I'm as mad as anyone, but I still think some people (me included at times) get a little too personal when they talk about Butch. I don't think he's going to get it done, but he really did an awful lot of work to pull us out of the ditch and for that I really am grateful. If it doesn't work out -- and it doesn't look like it will -- I still think we're fortunate that he was willing to take over a dumpster fire and at least get us back to competitiveness. I don't wish him any ill.

QD has played 3 full games and we can count on one hand the number of good throws that he has thrown. What has he done to show that he's better than Guarantano? With the opportunity, I believe JG's would be better.

that's based off of nothing but backup QB fandom conjecture

QD has made more than 5 good throws. stop it.

I agree with this. People have taken it personally about Butch's comments and have let their emotion cloud their judgment. However, I have lost faith in his ability to call a game. I haven't lost faith in his ability to motivate because his teams always play hard. But, you have to have both if you want to win something of significance.

I need to apologize to Sallee. He was right. And he killed Butch on his radio show today and I can't disagree with anything that he said.

Dormady checked out of plays against ISU. Apparently, Swain and others have agreed that Dormady checked out of the run, too.

I don't necessarily agree that Butch is covering, but the message is clearly inconsistent.

Since dormady isn't great at making checks I would rather him look to the sideline at let the coaches make the checks maybe then we could see how good Scott is

I'm dead serious. I can't think of many. He's a pocket passer and has not brought anything to the table. His strength is a weakness. he throws off his back foot, stares down receivers. is inaccurate, makes bad decisions etc.

In limited time, JG showed a stronger arm than Dormady, and as the game went on he showed nice touch but the ball was dropped by George and Palmer twice. He also showed that he can actually run the ball. That alone is more than anything Dormady brings to the table.

I'm not a fan of QD by any means and I would also like to see JG more but I can't say definitively that JG would have been better yesterday. Just not ready to agree with that, at this point.

Butch outing Dormady in his presser is a coach scrambling to deflect the heat.

He should just say we screwed up. It's my fault.

Placing blame on a college player publicly is never a good idea. Arkansas coach did this to his kicker recently. Bad bad look

.

Rather have a QB tuck it and run than force an ill advised pass.

All the players who have been unhappy with PT are back in the building today. Things have settled down; everybody is competing for PT and should get a chance on Saturday.

Neither one has looked very good to this point. JG hasn't shown any touch on anything but a deep ball and he throws late over the middle too. Both have a lot of flaws.

In that case, I would take JG, since he can run a more complete offense.

From what I have seen is QD plays really well under pressure in the 4th quarter. Don't know if he's just reacting and playing pitch and catch when it's do or die or what but his throws are where they need to be and directs the offense. It's the first three quarters I think he is caught up in the moment and is thinking too much which cause him to panic and lose it. For this offense to work your QB has to be accurate especially if you don't have a running QB.

Is there even a chance JG can take the starting gig at any point this season?

So did Dobbs in the beginning but you could see the flashes. Let JG on the field and I think you'll see even more flashes than Dobbs had at the start. JG just has the IT factor to him.

I think the only reason why we haven't seen JG more is how well Dormady and the offense preforms in the 4th quarter.

Mississippi State beats UGA this weekend and we're right back in it. I'd take UK over UF too please. Hope we see 2 Saturday.
