Is he saying that on another board? I looked through his VN history and it wasn't that bad
I am not gonna go dig up the quotes on mobile but he's said both those things. Staff can't develop players and this defense is going to break records set by last year's team.
On volnation. In the FF. Recently.
On the developing player debate.
Has the staff developed players at the same rate as other top 10 programs?
My guess if you look at the draft numbers it will show he has a point. Last years draft and the one coming up are the only two that could fairly be looked at.
people that have been talking about depth just haven't realized the depth is not SEC level depth. The coaching and talent levels on this team are not what many of us believed it was. I believe the lack of talent relates directly to development issues. this staff is extremely poor at developing players.
Picou was banged up most of camp but he was more ready to play than any other DTs..
Positives were we confirmed a few guys could play, 1, 4, 19 and 35.. outside of those three, lot of ????s
every SEC team we will face has a better football team than the one we played last night. If you believe this defense will play better versus SEC football teams you are going to be disappointed. Get ready now, that 2,891 rushing yards given up record last year's defense set is going to be broken by this team.
Top 10? He inherited a dumpster fire.
And you're judging him based on 2017 and one that hasn't happened yet?
Who put more in the league in 2017?
I don't have the numbers but I would like to see what they look like for Auburn, Florida, Lsu, Georgia and Texas A&M after this draft compared to us. Yes only last year and this years draft should be considered.
This 2018 draft hasn't happened.
What does it look like for Tennessee based on 2017 draft?
Yeah, I don't believe this. Larry isn't some football genius. He probably gets his info from other bitter old-timers who wish Fulmer was still running the show because he's their buddy.
Very solid but still behind Florida and LSU and of course Bama. One year is a little hard to use especially when it looks very unlikely that this year is going to yield more than 1-2 drafts which makes his point hold some water.
You see this staff everyday at work. Are they garbage or not? If they are competent, they are not the problem.
So we are behind 3 teams who are the banner school in states that are recruiting gold mines and the word you use to describe that is "solid?"

He was targeted a bit too much. Wasn't getting good separation out there. Callaway would've been used all night. Once his physicality seemed too much for the Georgia Tech DBs I would've fed him.
