And once again we have a COMPLETELY brutal stretch. Who thought it was a good idea to put all the hard games at the beginning and all the easy games at the end? This year was much better put together.
Unbalanced schedule. At least the BYE is in a good spot.

SIAP Shoop going into pretty great detail describing what went on that last play.
If you have 6 minutes, watch it. Impressive the way he talks to the media, doesn't make excuses, and takes ownership for his role. While it doesn't change the outcome, it changes the way I look at that last play.
HC - Gruden

Refreshing to hear both he and Scott answer questions. Puts things in perspective. Can't really blame shoop on the call. Notice the one guy he doesn't mention is Micah on that last play about people doing their job. To me that was all on him not being where he was supposed to be. Twice now he has been the guy in the wrong spot of a embarrassing play. Yet somehow he is the most dependable in their eyes. Playing out of position imo. Should be at CB

And we apparently just moved the guy many thought would be our best cover corner in this class (Labruzza) to safety due to injuries to TKJr & EvBerry.
just a couple quick notes from Tuesday's practice, as Tennessee began preparations for UMass. We watched just three periods, moving inside to the indoor facility with inclement weather approaching the area.
* The Vols were in shells today, and green jerseys were Buchanan, Gaulden and Deandre Johnson (who only did conditioning work).
* Theo Jackson was working with the No. 1 punt team but was sporting a big cast on his left wrist
* Venzell Boulware was rotating with Jack Jones at LG with first-team reps.
* Shaq Wiggins had his stripe removed. What does this mean? I don't know. Butch Jones spent some time with Wiggins during the stretch period, trying to deliver some positive words before practice.
* The routes on air period was OK. Tyler Byrd had a bad drop, but re-ran the route made the play the second time.
* With Johnson likely sidelined with a shoulder injury, Matthew Butler was working with the DE's on Tuesday.
* Vols LB corp is thin. They're definitely gearing up Quart'e Sapp for a big role moving forward. I counted six scholarship linebackers Tuesday two of which are scheduled for redshirt seasons (Reid and Page).
* NFL scouts from the Chiefs, Redskins and Chargers were in attendance.
