Why is everybody concerned about what we do on the sideline to motivate our players? If they want to slam avocados in a blender and make guacamole after each TO I couldn't care less. As long as it motivates the players and encourages them to play hard it matters not. If the rest of the sports world wants to focus on that then good. They won't see it when Bituli and Taylor are in their backfield putting their QB on the ground while Warrior is taking the pick six to the checkerboards!

mmmm.....guacamole...

Loyal means loyal. Can't pick and choose when to be loyal, IMO.

I think there's some nuance to this. You can be a fan of a team and think they perform poorly. Stating facts doesn't mean no loyalty.

I don't like publicly bashing players because they are unpaid and trying their best. Coaches should be fair game. I think Warrior is reacting to the newest VolPoll.

The champions for life/five star hearts thing kinda has him where he can't do a thing outside the norm without it being taken over the top. But when you say stuff like that you open yourself up to what's going on.

The uproar over that was dumb too. Makes people look small and petty for keeping on piling on.

This!!

The word "risk" also carries some of the same connotations as the word "possibility." In fact, if you look in a thesaurus (it's like a dictionary, but it gives you synonyms [that means two words that mean the same thing, like big and large, for example] and antonyms [that means two words that mean the opposite thing, like big and little, for example] along with definitions), you'll probably even see the two listed as synonymous!

So, to correct your post, one might say there are al types of risks involved with message boards! Like the risk of not fully comprehending someone's post and making an ill thought-out reply, or the risk of accidentally liking one of D4H's posts and never being able to take it back. The possibilities are endless!

Yeah, those aren't really risks at all.

And possibility?? Way down on the list of synonyms for risk. Risk has a negative connotation, like something bad could happen as a result. I think danger, hazard, gamble or peril are all much more appropriate. Not much chance for anything truly bad to happen over a Volnation post. I know you think you're the smartest guy in the room and all, but at least try not to be disingenuous with your replies.

These guys that logged that many snaps Monday need to get pulled very early Saturday. Fatigue injuries are real, and we don't need any of them. Let them rest for Florida. Our 2s should be able to handle IS handily.

Also, what good are those players you trust if they are so fatigued that they can't perform any where near full strength? Wouldn't someone who is fresh be better off?

Wow. I knew it was a ridiculous number. Hopefully those guys can get pulled early Saturday.

Pour it on.

It's really no wonder they were slow and getting blown off the ball in the second half. I've been critical of Jumper in the past but imo he looked much better in the first half than he did in the second.

I CANNOT believe how negative people have been after the Vols won the first game of 2017 with all the new faces. If you have your panties in a twist over that game, you deserve to live in a 3rd world country for a month. Count your freaking uber-privileged blessings already and take a chill pill.

I'm a Vol fan. I do not like mediocrity. But they didn't lose! They gave up a metric ton of rushing yards. They won by the skin of their teeth. But they won! If you can't smile and appreciate Paul Bain with the block, #1 with the breakout performance, Bituli with 23 tackles, then take five and think about Dooley or Houston under water or the paycheck you get to pay for the ability to watch the game.

Maybe everyone really isn't as negative in real life as they are behind the keyboard, but I have never heard so much whining and boohooing. Go outside and breathe some fresh air, people!

If Marshall stays healthy Ga Tech will have a good year. Kid ran the option beautifully and had nice throws when needed. When I watched game there were times where you go dang if our defender plays the ball it may stop them then you see a play where we play ball instead of assignment and he pitches it for big play to Cottrell etc. he was just reading everything the way it should be for that offense. Biggest issue was Jumper was getting wiped out by FB or not getting to his spot fast enough. his lack of speed showed up big as he got tired from playing almost every snap.
