I have a daughter who hopes to be recruited for college basketball.....prob not at this level but hopefully a lower level.... I am responsible to set up training for her.....make sure she keeps up with her weight training... make sure she is with a travel team that has her best interests at heart....make sure she works by herself and be her rebounder....I’m not going to completely turn over the biggest decision of her life to a coach that may not have her best interests at heart..... it is much worse for a div 1 football player....how many players are fed a bunch of BS by a coach that wants them there?
I also have a daughter who lettered all 4 years in VB. Set school records that will never be broken. But that was not her passion. She is currently majoring in vocal performance major and earned a full ride by taking 6 am voice lessons ... it was the only time she could fit it into her busy schedule. She sings opera and is aiming at Broadway. We just stand back and watch and smile when that butterfly flaps her wings. Lucky for us, she has a really good head on her shoulder.

I have a son who is has been a straight A student and academic All American since he was 2 years old. He can divide by zero. At 7, he took a job as a janitor at a prestigious college not because he needed the money, but because he wanted to solve difficult equations on the blackboard in the middle of the night. Athletically he broke school, state, country, and even continent records in all 11 sports that he played. He recently was elected mayor in our small town, although he respectfully declined before submitting a plan to balance the budget as a measure of good faith. Our local Chick Fila remains open on Sunday simply because he asked them too. I’m an equally amazing parent as he is a child. I recognize his passion, like mine, is message boarding. I’m going to let him spread his wings. None of this has anything to do with Khris Bogles recruitment, and neither do stories about your particular parenting style with your child. So stop wasting everyone’s time posting them.

This was wonderful. I truly laughed out loud.

I have a grandson who recently turned 2. All he wants to do is harass our dogs, tell us things that are pretty much incomprehensible, watch shows on our iPads and swim in the pool.

Is it just me or is he on the expressway to Loserville?

We are going to really wish we would have gone out and signed an elite closer, when this is all said and done. Hope I’m wrong. Lost 2 games this past weekend because of it.
Is Vizcaino ever coming back? Minter is good too I'd say. I don't understand how Snitker manages that bullpen at all.

I just don't see you being okay if he decides he wants to post on Bama forums and not VN. Are you truly willing to accept a Bammer in your home?

Sometimes I make my son call me Mommy and sing me Dust in the Wind. He just turned three so he sucks at it and wont be let out of the attic until he figures it out. Dust in the wind is playing full blast on repeat.

Well you dress as a woman so I'm not sure why he's so confused about calling you "Mommy".

If you can't feel the breeze on your manparts, what's the point?
If you can't impress the ladies while doing a hammer throw, what's the point?

Ok, if you guys wanna defend utvols88 flashing everyone at the sav-a-lot while getting a can of corn off the bottom shelf, that's fine. He ain't doing no hammer throw and he could care less if his twigs and berries are getting air. He does it for the thrill.

Edit - and correct me if I'm wrong, but arent kilts supposed to be at least down to the knee? The one I saw him in wouldn't make a good napkin.
