You make some good points here. But the problem with your first paragraph is that both view points are not allowed .But again that goes back to agreeing with what is being said. If your view points line up with what is being said then you most likely wouldn’t have a problem with it. Their wealth also plays a part in it. I think a majority of people think that if you are well off then you shouldn’t be complaining period.
I think that’s what happened with a lot of the nfl kneeling protests. It was more about what they were protesting than the actual flag. If Kaps original stance was he’s going to kneel until our veterans are treated better...i think the outrage would’ve been a fraction of what it was
True, but in fairness we're talking about the politically active propagandists at awards shows. So I shouldn't have said nearly all of Hollywood, but in the context of our conversation, we are talking about the elites. To be fair Bass, you have no idea how many in Hollywood are making north of $400k in a year and neither do I. You're also making a broad statement when you say "Nearly all of Hollywood" when you're actually talking specifically about JUST the A-List actors. The bulk/majority of Hollywood is made up of grips, editors, producers, and working class folk that are making closer to the median income than the 1% you referenced.
Lol. I get passed it because I watch the movies still. But I'm not going to tune into a political propagandist event disguised as an awards show. Its not that its the only viewpoint allowed, its just the vast majority and they have the bullhorn. Theater kids and music kids have always leaned left and always will. I see past it because I do enjoy film a great deal and enjoy the spectacle. I don't care what any of them believe, I just enjoy the art. If you can't get past the politics that's your prerogative. I guess that is one bonus of being a libertarian, when you know both "sides" are wrong it helps you not focus on the other side being a villain.

I mean, I'm just being honest. I've never seen Bruce Willis talk politics. I had forgotten about Eastwood, but he did his spiel at the RNC. We are talking about the Oscars and ESPN. I haven't seen Eastwood or Willis or anyone else give conservative talking points at one of these shows. Didn't the Dixie Chicks say what they said very soon after 9/11? I don't remember, but I'm not sure why they're being brought up now. This is a different world we live in in 2019.Why did you pick the only one that I said was reserved? Willis and Eastwood (just 2 examples) are extremely politically active.
You know i love ya bass but you're doing what both sides do- only seeing what the other side does.
Everyone said the Dixie Chicks should have known their audience and kept their mouths (probably should have) but if the Rock does, it's not right?
Do you think people's political leanings have anything to do two different takes on a similar subject?
Because as an outsider, it's obvious as hell.
Black Panther was not political, it was just an average at best superhero movie but "Wakanda forever" became a rallying cry for minority recognition in Hollywood most certainly.
The problem isn't that they're liberal, the problem is they try to shove their beliefs down your throat and then act like you're a complete idiot if you disagree with the BS that's spewing out of their mouths.Imagine being so triggered that actors who in no way impact your life are liberal lmaoooooooo
I'm not an economic specialist. I just used the google machine as well. I'd say that most elites in Hollywood get their start very young. I don't think that as an adult they can relate to me and my wife. How many of your scary 1%'s were born into that situation or worked their way into that situation? Most people don't forget where they come from, and what it took to get there. Money only amplifies who you are. If you are a broke and uncaring prick, you will be a rich and uncaring prick.
Now I did a search on THE Google, and it says that the average wealth of the top 1% is $8.4 Million. That is different from the pay that you quoted, but pay does not equal wealth. Some people get paid very well, but they don't crack top 1%. My wife and I are 6 figures but in GA, the tope 1% earn almost 400K. We will never be considered the top 1%

Should have been a trilogy, they really rushed the story line and didn't let it "breathe" imo. The world that was created (Wakanda) was pretty well done, and I felt like they rushed it...we had all these tribes that basically just got face time. Personally would have appreciated the film if it had been 3 films and more time would have been given to the tribes as well as the villain. I think Daredevil has spoiled me on superhero movies though, that show is amazing so annoyed Disney yanked it from Netflix.
This is true, but it seems to me the majority on the right who do that are in the political field, not Hollywood elites or athletes because they wouldn't be allowed to do so. I mean, our beloved Peyton was criticized for days because he had the audacity to go golfing with the President. Tiger was also.I'm sorry both sides do that, that is why our country is divided. "If you don't agree with me, you are an idiot" is the prevailing wisdom that is bolstered by the extreme loud mouths ON BOTH SIDES.
Really? What's the average age an actor gets going? I mean, I look at the men and women and the majority of them have been around at least since their early 20's as far as I can tell. Maybe I'm wrong, but I haven't seen too many that worked in the factory until they were 45 and somehow caught a big break. I mean, Jennifer Lawrence, one of the most outspoken, has been on television since she was a teenager.
