What does it say about you that you dont think you're being fed propaganda from the right?
Where am I fed propaganda from the right other than Fox News if I go there? We're talking about Hollywood and someone mentioned ESPN there. Please tell me where the propaganda from the right is located at the Oscars or on ESPN? I'd like to see it

Absolutely nailed it on the head.

Also Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse was a fantastic film, it might not be everyone's cup of tea and I get that. But I'd argue it was creative, well done, original, and the best superhero movie made.
Haven't gotten to see many movies lately. I peek in the politics forum on occasion just to observe if the tendencies are changing. They're not.
Clinton/Obama "fleecing taxpayers with endless vacation days and trips to the golf course"
Bush/Trump "taking well deserved time off and what's it to you"
Flip the names when the liberals are posting.
Fox/CNN, same thing. Even the guys in this discussion.People only see the unfairness when it's the other side.
Human nature I guess but always to the extreme by political junkies.

What was political about Black Panther the movie? The Movie is literally an adaptation of a Marvel Character. The buzz surrounding the movie is different than the movie. If you can not separate the two, that is on you not the movie. 12 years a slave was an actual memoir....like a true story. So you have problems with movies of color? Because every movie you named was about People of Color. That sounds like a personal problem.
Hahahahahahahaha hahahaha. Hold up let me breathe. Black Panther was 100% political if you can't see that you may want to check how you view things.

Sports and entertainment are larger than ESPN and the Oscars. Sports are the bastion of the right. It's like an 80/20 split.

Well to be fair one was about slavery...not sure how you can really do that one where the "white guy" comes out looking good.
I guess it's more of the "it's the greatest movie ever made even though I haven't watched it" that really got me with that movie

So conservative propaganda ends at Fox News? Funny.

Which athletes are promoting right wing views, especially on ESPN? Who are they? Where are they? What are they saying? I mean, if this is happening as you suggest, please let me know. Which Hollywood elites are promoting right wing politics or conservative views? Do they still make movies if they openly support the president? I mean, you're acting like its down the middle here. I'd like to see some evidence of it.

We are talking about Hollywood and ESPN. Again, if you have some examples of people in these areas promoting conservative politics, I'd like to see it. If not, just saying that there are people somewhere who promote conservative ideas isn't the discussion we're having.

Oh believe me there are quite a few movies where the "fandom" of it has driven down my opinion of the film, we're all human. Avatar is the last example where all the fans of it actually ruined the movie for me, I still watched it in glorious blu-ray in HD as well and didn't really like it...

If you've watched the films you mentioned and don't like them I can understand that, we all have our preferences. I didn't feel like Black Panther was pushing any sort of agenda -in the film- now the way it's been treated since...different story. The film is fairly on par with the comics. But I'll agree, the hype the media created was pushing an agenda. I actually don't even think it's the best superhero movie of that year but think it's getting award recognition for other reasons...and honestly, I'm fine with that. To be so heavy liberal it amazes me how much Hollywood award shows lack diversity in winners.

But you want to be force fed political opinions by conservative elites? Weird....
You seem awful liberal for an Avatar that says "You don't work, you don't eat." Fact is conservative elites for the most part (besides the President) don't have the platform that all these liberal Hollywood 1%'s do and most Hollywood exec's try to push there liberal agenda too which leads to there being WAY more liberal bullcrap force fed to people rather than conservative beliefs

Sylvester Stallone
Bruce Willis
Tom Selleck
The Rock
Clint Eastwood
Adam Sandler
Off the top of my head.

Good times. I watch the Oscars knowing they are pushing agendas. I start watching about 45 minutes after it starts so I can fast forward past soap box bullcrap and see if I picked the right winners. Black Panther should not have been nominated for anything. That's all agenda. Bohemian Rhapsody winning best film editing made me die laughing when the actual industry leaders made fun of the editing. Roma was a glorious film and how you win best director but not best picture baffles me.

Basically its a competition pushed around by the refs and in this case the refs are the voters who all have their political agendas. I find it fascinating and usually frustrating but all in all a decent way to spend a Sunday night. Carry on.

Okay, here is a list of supposed conservative actors in Hollywood. I'll take your word for it. But where are they promoting their conservative political views? At the Oscars? On twitter? On ESPN? Where?

Where do you see them pressing their political viewpoints as these liberal elites do? Are they even actively supporting conservative political viewpoints on their social media accounts?

When people have the means to effect change by being given a voice due to their exposure you can't really fault them for taking advantage. Trump got voted in using the same strategy. I disagree with a lot of it on both sides but I can't fault them for taking advantage of expounding their beliefs. If people really got offended so bad they would stop paying to see their movies right?

I understand your point of view here, Newt. The problem is, it's one sided. I mean, people have the right to express their point of view, we live in America. Problem is, these liberal elites don't seem to believe that. My frustration is that only one side expresses their political viewpoints through these avenues and if the other side did it, the outrage would be unbearable. Imagine what would happen if The Rock, one of the names mentioned a moment ago, got selected to host a major award show and he used that opportunity to lecture about supporting the president or a conservative political point like building the wall and limiting illegal immigration or what have you. What would happen? That's the point.

I wouldn't watch it if it was a political fest with both sides being given equal time an opportunity because I don't want to hear politics, I want to be entertained by my sports and movies and what have you. But it is made even more frustrating that the only voice that is allowed to be heard is from the left. And as much as people may try, there is no denying that this is the reality that we live in.

Well I don't do Twitter or the Oscars, so you'll have to check. I'm going off of interviews and public speaking events.places where they have a platform. Except Eastwood, Willis, Stallone and Arnold of course, they've all been extremely involved.

I did get a kick out of you using "supposed" though. 😀
Still think political people only see when the other side do it

To be fair, it's not a competition. Any awards given based on judging is hardly a true competition. If it was a real competition we'd base it off sales and/or majority polling they do neither.

I said supposed because I have no idea if you're right about their political opinions. Because unlike the liberal elites that we have talked about, I've never heard the guys you named say anything political. That's why I said supposed. But that is more to the point. There is no denying where the people at the Oscars stand politically is there? But did anyone see any of those guys you mentioned at the ceremony last night talking politics? Nope. What would have happened if they did promote their conservative view points at an award show or even had the audacity to say "we need to support the president?"
