My wife and I had our first daughter in '07 we had a $100 deductible while paying roughly 200 bucks a month. In "15 we had our last daughter with a 7000 dollar deductible and a lil over 800 a month for the family plan and I still work for the same company. Its ridiculously expensive to even have a child nowadays.
Obamacare really screwed every thing up. It wasn't perfect by any means before but Obamacare pushed it over a cliff. As an employer who offered health insurance to my employees, it made it almost impossible to continue for both me and my employees to keep and we ended up dropping it.

Fully paid medical and vision. Then $15 per pay option for dental coverage for individual. Plus my company pays for all co-pays and prescriptions. I will add that in order to be eligible for the fully paid medical and vision we are asked to complete an annual wellness program. Really simple and saves me quite a bit of money.

Military insurance is where it's at, pay $50 a month for the dental portion and that's all. My wife and I have had four children and combined it's been under $75. Just gotta be willing to die for you're country if needed. Lol.

Yeah okay King of Battle.... chillin on the fob sending them lobs to the enemy.... (Humor from a former 82nd Queen of Battle)

(Btw to anyone who doesn’t know Field Artillery is considered the King of Battle - like the King on a chess board stationary but the game changer, and Infantry is the Queen of Battle - like a Queen on a chess board because they can move anywhere)

We all know intel drives operations.

Always amazing what political talk does.
One side advocating failed policies from countries that practice systems completely against what America stands for.
The other side rewriting history and the good old days before govt involvement. Before the financial crisis, healthcare was the #1 concern headed into the 2008 elections because it was already headed for absolute ****.
I'm sure we made it worse but it was headed that way regardless.

The forum with the best vibe, best camaraderie and most intellectual discussion, resorts to talking points, name calling and exaggeration, in minutes. The true enemy, the house divided and entrenched beyond reconciliation.

Isn't one of the pinned posts "No Politics In The Recruiting Forum" ?

I'm reporting you all. Kidding, but man does the offseason suck.

How about Hard Knock is going to be with the Raiders this year? Get to see what could have been or we actually didn't want. Plus Antonio Brown should be fun to watch.

I just think a government Trillions in debt trying to "fix" anything is laughable at best.

Not seen the name calling. Maybe I've missed it.

I don't claim to be an expert on health care. All I have to go on is personal experience. I offered good health insurance to my employees. It cost them a little less than $30/week. I paid $30/week on their behalf. For that they got $30 copay at the DR. Prescription card. And maximum of $1000 out of pocket annually. When we first started offering it I let the employees choose options and they preferred a higher Dr visit copay and more coverage in case they had something serious occur thus the low max out of pocket amount.

After Obamacare this all went away. Had to drop it. As a small business it hurts a lot more. Large businesses can take an impact like that. They have more money to throw around. Our health care system may have been headed off a cliff but Obamacare pushed the accelerator pedal.

But (Beans and Bullets - Logistics for non-Army) are the only reason we accomplish anything....

Speaking of which, currently at my daughter and son-in-law's home at Ft. Lee. He starts the captain course shortly after re-branching from armored cav. Go logistics! Ok...maybe not as hua hua as infantry...

If the need for deeper discussion and explanation is what was taken from my post, I failed miserably.
Let me try again...What @Freak said.
It's the only thing he asks from us, surely we can pull this off.

It seems inevitable on topics such as healthcare that they eventually become political. I moved it here, even though I think it's best to completely avoid political discussions in this forum.

And I should have thought ahead. No one hates politics more than I do and I completely whiffed on the direction it was headed.
Sorry to you and to me.

No worries. The topic was originally completely innocent, and while most were keeping things civil, it definitely started turning political.

@Freak
If you ever create a 'not really a mod' position, let me know.
I have zero interest in sending any of my friends on vacation but I'm always on here and I'll relocate a political post faster than they can type it. 😅
